January 2, 200520 yr Ohio beer.....Miller and Budweiser have big plants here too....I accidentally ran across the Miller, I think, brewrey...located between Middletown and Hamilton..saw this big factory, wondered "what the heck is that..its huge!"...drove to it and it was a brewrey.
January 3, 200520 yr Miller is the worst beer ever. It is fustrating that they are the only beer available at Party in the Park. Hopefully the people pushing Christian Moerlein will get involved with sponsoring it this summer.

January 4, 200520 yr Yes Sam Adams does and I thank them by drinking Sam Adams when Christian Moerlein or Harp isn't available.
January 4, 200520 yr The Miller plant is in Trenton and yes, it is between Hamilton and Middletown. They make mostly MGD I believe. The interesting thing about that plant was it was built and then sat empty for nearly a decade. Finally it started production . . . Budweiser's Columbus plant has a tour similar to St. Louis although clearly not as historic.
January 4, 200520 yr I agree that this expansion is probably good news...I just wish the city didn't have to PAY $80,000 to demolish an old building that likely has some historic value As for Christian Moerlein, I wish they would hurry up and move into one of our old breweries!
January 6, 200520 yr I'm really weird about my beer consumption, I really like christian moerlein, Hudy, Wiedemann, my first beer I ever had was a little king..hehehe the little green grenade. Guiness is my fave european brew. I don't like the name Sam adams Boston lager..maybe if they changed it to Sam adams Cincinnati lager..i would drink it.. :|

January 7, 200520 yr The party source has little kings, wiedemann. the best thing to do would be contact the distributor directly, they are in saylor park I believe.they deal with all the old cincinnati brews that are now made elsewhere.. :cry:

July 19, 200519 yr Party Source almost always has Little King's. Unfortunately I've found the taste to be inconsistent. The better batches are sweeter and sort of carbonated, almost as if Sprite were beer. The four cases I took back last time are bitter and I've been going through them a lot slower than usual. Haven't seen a Little King's 40oz in years. And more Little King's jargon -- "King Me!". I got Hudy in bottles at Party Source back in April but they didn't have it there a few weeks ago. They tasted awesome -- way better than I remembered. They had Wiedeman in 6-pak cans in April too. Last time I had Burger was probably last summer at a bar called The Leaf which is right next to LaSalle High School. It was reformulated and had a spiffier can -- I remember getting real bunk buzzes off it back around 1999. Back then I fooled around with a really foul girl one time thanks to Burger's evil powers. They used to sell it in these absolutely plain brown boxes with dull red lettering at the Kroger next to Bogart's for around $6 for a 24 case. They were selling Wiedeman real cheap there too at the time. People seem to remember Burger more than Top Hat. They were still making Top Hat up until at least 1993. I know that because my dad kept a large stash of various beers in the garage at all times and I snuck a few Top Hat's in my bean bag chair took it to band camp that summer. July 19, 200519 yr I worked at Thriftway while I was in college and I remember them carrying Top Hat up until maybe 1993 or 1994. (I used to stock the beer case.)

October 22, 200519 yr Though this was supposed to be done by now, the brewery is getting ready to add a 2,400 square foot addition. I have no idea what this is, exactly. Most of the heavy work was being done in May. You can see the 24 aging tanks in the photos Jimmy Skinner provided.
