Posted September 19, 200618 yr Columbus was once known as 'Arch City' Sunday, September 17, 2006 ED LENTZ Much has been made recently about what Columbus should do to make it a truly superlative place. Some of us, of course, do not think Columbus is all that bad as it is. But it is also fair to say that even the good can always be made a bit better. More than a few people in the recent past have argued that Columbus needs an "image" all its own. When I think of San Francisco, I think of the Golden Gate Bridge. When I think of New York, the Statue of Liberty comes to mind. September 20, 200618 yr Uh...I think another city has already taken over that image. And of course there is that restaurant too... While we are on the subject of arches, does Ohio still have that large sky blue arch over I-70 when you cross the Indiana line?
September 20, 200618 yr Yeah it's still there, and it's still about a half a mile before the actual state line.
September 20, 200618 yr It's there actually for a truck weighing station. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
