June 24, 201014 yr It is a cool proposal, and if it was built I would personally be intersted in one of the old townhouses, however, it looks really, really expensive. Anyone have an educated guess how much a solid rehab on those old townhouses would be per unit.
June 24, 201014 yr It doesn't look like they've resolved any of the issues with the current buildings. Other than having a shiny new tower next door, how will the current row houses be any different than when they rehabbed them the last time? They still slope downward into a creepy hole.

Other than having a shiny new tower next door, how will the current row houses be any different than when they rehabbed them the last time? They still slope downward into a creepy hole. ^ They solved it by filling the creepy hole with a diverse, rambunctious yet pleasant crowd of hundreds of people. The unintentional utopian undertones here are simultaneously glaring, scary, and hilarious.
June 24, 201014 yr What do I do to become a renderer? Those guys must have so much fun, and are never really accountable for their designs. Any development can look good by adding people.
June 24, 201014 yr ^ Learn Rhino, Maya, and/or 3D Studio MAX very well. All the fun of being an architect, with none of the responsibility.
June 25, 201014 yr Or, if you simply want to do renderings like these, take 30 minutes and completely learn Sketchup, then take a 15 minute intro tutorial to Photoshop. Also download a very diverse set of people image maps to paste on.
June 25, 201014 yr Sketchup is actually making quite a lot of headway into architecture offices because it's free and easy to learn and use.
June 25, 201014 yr Looks like she sold out to Christ: http://cincinnati.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/stories/2010/06/28/story3.html 1,000-car garage, potential off-site retail and housing. I don't think that this means the Glencoe Hole will be demolished.
July 1, 201014 yr Does the rest of the article (that you have to pay for) say anything about plans for Glencoe? Christ has a pretty awful track record when it comes to preservation.
July 8, 201014 yr Does the rest of the article (that you have to pay for) say anything about plans for Glencoe? Christ has a pretty awful track record when it comes to preservation. No specifics were mentioned and Van der Haer declined to comment on the project designs she saw.
July 9, 201014 yr Confusing - in May she gets the proposal from Christ Hospital, then in June she sues the City?
March 21, 201114 yr am new to this site and was wondering if there have been any new developments with this complex.it seems such a shame that this hauntingly beautiful community should be allowed to go to ruins as it has.ive tried to dontact the developer by phone and get a recording that the number is disconnected.im interested in relocating and would love to get in on this community.thank you

April 18, 201114 yr Looking a sherriff's sales, it looks like the property was auctioned off last Thursday.
