good to see that sandy beaver insurance is still open

The Carroll County courthouse looks like a reasonably imposing building, but someone sure has committed some unnatural acts upon it with those windows and the antenna.

A shot from Lisbon, 1985:

Interesting!

Quite nice!  Is this the return of the Summit Street of old?

Lisbon is a nice town. I have not been to Carollton in years so I don't remember it much.

I go through Lisbon twice each weekend on the way to/fro Pittsburgh.  It's a quaint, historic town.

Drove through Carrollton once... trash.

Did not! See the door still open? I rode that bus from Canton to Pittsburgh.

Hmm... that's not too far from where I grew up. Great photos, but neither Lisbon or Carrollton were EVER my cup of tea. I once drove through Lisbon and there was a farmer-style wedding on the town square - overalls for everyone, and John Deere tractors parked along the street.

I have to point out that you missed one of Lisbon's most famous landmarks - the Steel Trolley Diner.

One of my co-workers constantly raves about the Steel Trolley Diner.  Columbiana County is one of my favorite counties in Ohio.

I love the rainy day pictures. Thanks for a trip to places I've never been ...
