Also, if folks from here would like to get together for a tour, I'd love to show you around the buildings. An urban ohio tour.

^I might be interested.

I thought I'd post this here.   Maybe someone has an idea for where we can contact?

Cool, I admire your initiative trying to line up the type of tenants you want.  I hope you guys are able to find an interested restaurateur.  Would be a great addition.

But man oh man, that PD writer calling Thai or Indian food adventurous... I know he's not a food writer, but come on, it's 2010.

if you e-mail me from the contact page of the www.sustainableca.com website it should work.

saffron patch is great.  i'm definitely talking to them.

thanks for posting this.  the cleveland chapter of the usgbc is hosting an event June 3rd if anyone is interested in visiting with them: https://www.neogbc.org/index.php?id=11

we're getting ready to move people into their condos in just a matter of weeks.  6 of 7 places leased. All of the workforce housing is rented.  The first one open will be Slow Train Cafe -- it is a coffee shop owned and operated by Oberlin Alum.  They're getting coffee from City Roast.  Great food from artisan outfits across NEO.  wine license.  hard liquor license.  and a stage for jazz and acoustic music acts.  It should be open soon so if you ever want to come out to Oberlin be sure to stop there and be in touch for a tour.

What a crazy process real estate development is???  Not for the faint of heart.  But we survived with our souls intact and hopefully a great development for the community.

First residents move into new green condos in Oberlin

Filed by Cindy Leise August 3rd, 2010 in Top Stories.

OBERLIN — Nancy and Dave Browne are among the first residents in the East College Street Development, and they say they couldn’t be happier.

Their unit on the third floor faces west, allowing for views of the New Union Center for the Arts, Oberlin’s former one-building school dating back to the 1800s.

Approaching storms also come from the west and offer nonstop wonder, according to the couple who moved to the two-bedroom, 1,100-square-foot condo in July...

We live close to Oberlin and have been to the Slow Train several times.  Man was it packed when Germany played Spain in the world cup.  Anyway, this development was very nicely done.  I especially like the greenspace in the back, well done.

If anyone is interested in seeing the completed project we are having open houses from 2pm -4pm on October 9th.  We're also having a party in the courtyard with a ribbon cutting  from 6-7:30 with pie, cider etc.

Congrats, Josh on completing such a great project and getting the well-deserve recognition!
