A network of businesses and civic groups has started a chamber of commerce for Northeast Ohio's gay community.

 

Plexus hopes to connect gay-run and gay-friendly businesses with one another, promote benefits like insurance coverage for domestic partners, and improve the overall workplace environment for gays, lesbians and transgendered people. Its board of directors includes executives from KeyBank, the Great Lakes Science Center and Chase.

 

The group's first board meeting is Thursday, and Plexus will start accepting its first members in two months, co-founder Eric Lutzo said. Until then, it will hold monthly networking functions...

now who is on this "planning" committee.  I hope it doesnt become a "selective" boys network.

Wow, I didn't realize C-Town had such a progressive gay community.  I knew it was pretty large, but who knew.  This is good news.  I hope it works out!
