Posted October 20, 200618 yr From the 10/13/06 PD: Gay community forms chamber of commerce Plexus models plans on ethnic chambers Friday, October 13, 2006 Chris Seper Plain Dealer Reporter A network of businesses and civic groups has started a chamber of commerce for Northeast Ohio's gay community. Plexus hopes to connect gay-run and gay-friendly businesses with one another, promote benefits like insurance coverage for domestic partners, and improve the overall workplace environment for gays, lesbians and transgendered people. Its board of directors includes executives from KeyBank, the Great Lakes Science Center and Chase. The group's first board meeting is Thursday, and Plexus will start accepting its first members in two months, co-founder Eric Lutzo said. Until then, it will hold monthly networking functions... October 21, 200618 yr Wow, I didn't realize C-Town had such a progressive gay community. I knew it was pretty large, but who knew. This is good news. I hope it works out!
