This move follows a previous announcement that 81 workers will be furloughed. Employment at the Carey plant was 335 before the layoffs were announced. Once the cutbacks are fully implemented, employment will be down to 104 workers at the County Road 96 facility... October 27, 200618 yr From the 10/21/06 Findlay Courier: Carey layoffs to hurt village, school By JIM MAURER Staff Writer CAREY -- Extensive layoffs by Continental Structural Plastics (CSP) at its Carey plant will impact both the village's and the school district's finances, officials said. The company, which previously laid off 81 workers, has announced that there will be an additional 150 layoffs, phased in over the next eight months. These layoffs will be permanent, the company said. By the end of June 2007, a total of 231 of the plant's 335 workers will be furloughed...
