In conjunction with the Cavaliers opener, most buildings downtown left their lights on this evening to show support. What struck me the most was the difference with the "non-signature" buildings being lit up. Granted, Terminal was half-lit, but it was refreshing to see the old girl with a few lights on her. One thing I noticed - there were plenty of people downtown but with temps heading into the low 40s and colder, they were packed into places in the few blocks around the Q. I had to leave downtown around 6ish so if they were out and about, I missed them. Major props to my boyfriend who toted me to several locales :)

Probably my favorite view in Cleveland - and this pic doesn't do it justice, imho:

Great shots Mayday!

I liked the "vote for issue 3" banners at TC

But they showed stock photos again! (according to MGD's keen eye).  I saw some night shots of Cleveland during the 11:00 news and the town looked absolutely fantastic--much better than the stock photos.

Lovely!  Beautiful city, and it's great to see it all lit up!

Wonderful shots.

But the Terminal looks a bit...ackward...at...night...now.  :(

I don't think I've ever seen this angle before. Nicely done!

Was this from the parking deck at the Q?

Good shots! Terminal Tower is still my favorite, and always will be; I'm eager for the day when they finish the work and remove the scaffoding and nets.

cleveland, bah.

more quaker sam!

Imagine that last photo that CornerCurve loves with a nice new skin on the Breuer tower...  It would be amazing!

And yes, I noticed in the pregame on ESPN and throughout the night that they used stock footage from around Christmas!  How could I tell?  Well, the TT was lit up all green and red!  That, and when they showed Public Square, there were Christmas lights!  One blimp shot they showed at the beginning featured a completely dark TT, Jacobs Field with no lights on, and so on.  This, while I was looking out my brother's window in Tremont and I could see all the lights on!  What a crock!

If the aim of "lighting up" Cleveland was to impress a national television audience, then ESPN screwed that up.  If the aim was to invigorate the locals, then hey, I was sold!  The city looked beeeautiful!

do i win for the stock footage prediction?

Mayday, nice shots, and thank you for posting!  I have to agree with rob_1412, even with the scaffolding the Terminal Tower is still the best and always will be.
