Posted November 2, 200618 yr Gizmodo has the new Microsoft Zune ads. http://us.gizmodo.com/gadgets/portable-media/five-zune-tv-spots-211801.php The first one listed must have been shot in Burnet Woods during Scribble Jam, and the second looks like it is Annie's during a night show. The fifth might be at Annie's during the day, but it's hard to see any features in the background. Of course, all hip hop has been removed from the spots. I was watching them and noticed the gazebo and Cincinnati Parks sign. I guess MS was going for a balance of Middle America and street cred. Where better than Cincinnati? I'm no MS fan (4 iPods in 5 years), but this was pretty cool to see.
November 2, 200618 yr Bo-ring (the commercial, not the city). Merely reinforces the genius of this old youtube fav:
November 2, 200618 yr Man, some of those comments are hilarious. I liked: "Does the Zune come with a free dog or breakdancer? If not, then how about a friends certificate, redeemable for one friend, or lame party where nobody talks to each other, they just listen to their own music?" But then, I have no use for iPods, either.
November 5, 200618 yr woot im in the battle vid at about the 19 second mark (the second one on the list) im the kid laughing really hard about something (drunk, hence the gold star cup) and im with a super cute girl :p and for that one second spot both of us got two free zunes each, they are shipping out on the first of january! yayy
November 5, 200618 yr oh, I would love to see her version of the story..... :-) so, whaddya think of the Zune ?
November 6, 200618 yr come on now, we dated for a couple of years ha, but yeah they arent shipping the damn things out to us until january cause they dont want to ship out all of those until after the christmas demand, looks pretty tight and i need one since my pos ipod nano screen cracked after like two weeks
November 6, 200618 yr The video quality isn't the best, but I think I went to high school with a girl who appears in the first ad. So there's another clue that it was done in Cincinnati (I'm pretty sure she still lives in the area). Kind of hard to tell what the product is or what it does... and 1st ad was really long. *yawn*
November 6, 200618 yr the second commercial is all from scribble jam, probably saturday night. looks like they have shots from murs' performance and the freestyle battles
