November 4, 200618 yr Nah. I've got a lot of catching up to do with my mother. She's the real gypsy. She's moved 62 times in her 76-year life. How'd she accomplish such a feat? She was an Army brat and and her first husband was in the military too. November 4, 200618 yr I agree with OF. But isn't OF a bit pricey. Not CF pricey but more expensive than...say..Berea, Middleburg or Parma.
November 4, 200618 yr Where we now live, there is a bank that has a branch that is located in a grocery store and this branch is open for a few hours on Saturdays and Sundays; a good convenience. Are there any banks in the Parma Heights area offering this amenity? I know Huntingdon Bank exists in the area. Which banks or credit unions would the forumers recommend? Also, which cell phone service is recommended? We don't use our cellphones for chatting, so we find that 100 minutes/month usage time is adequate. Since the usage is low, we don't mind using Prepaid Phones, this does not bind us to an annoying contract. Virgin Mobile works well where we live now.
November 5, 200618 yr amrap - OF is the most expensive of the suburbs you listed, but nowhere near as pricey as Chagrin Falls (or for that matter, North Royalton, Brecksville, Westlake) From the Northern Ohio MLS listing of properties for sale: Olmsted Falls/Twp Berea Middleburg Parma Hts >$300k 18 (10%) 3 (3%) 3 (5%) 0 $250-300 29 (16%) 6 (5.5%) 4 (7%) 0 $200-250 38 (21%) 12 (11%) 19 (33%) 10 (8%) $150-200 50 (28%) 27 (25%) 26 (45%) 27 (22%) $100-150 24 (13%) 52 (48%) 6 (10%) 81 (65%) $<100k 21 (12%) 8 (7.5%) 0 6 (5%) The listings in Olmsted Falls under 100k were either apt-style condos or mobile homes.

Are there any banks in the Parma Heights area offering this amenity? Most newer/larger grocery stores have banks in them and those keep non-bankers hours. I think you'll find the choices pretty abundant. I know Huntingdon Bank exists in the area. Which banks or credit unions would the forumers recommend? Very much an acquired taste. I don't have any experience with credit unions, as those tend to be offered through employers. I used to have Huntington Bank, but I've also liked Charter One and Third Federal (local banks). Some family members have National City and like them. I don't know many who have KeyBank so I can't comment. Also, which cell phone service is recommended? Sprint is a decent service, but has too many gaps in coverage away from major highways. Verizon and Cingular have good coverage and all three have many stores in the area for servicing/equipment/upgrades. Those are the only three I have experience with however. November 5, 200618 yr I use Virgin Mobile. It's fine, very basic service. I started on it just because I had no cell phone for a long time cuz I didn't want to pay the monthly fees for something I didn't think I'd use much, so a friend finally bought me a Virgin Mobile that you can just buy minutes as you use them. Eventually I started using it more and more and it became more economical to get on a monthly plan. I find my reception isn't always as good as other people when I get into certain buildings and so on (esp. downstairs at Pickwick I can't get any reception at all, though some people can). I don't know if that is a funtion of the service or the phone I have. I am still using the basic phone that he bought me from Radio Shack or something. I should probably upgrade to a better phone, but I'm too lazy and I don't like to deal with new technology...

November 6, 200618 yr Is it feasible for a current nonresident of Ohio but a soon to be resident of Ohio to rent a mail box at a post office in the Cleveland area? It would be nice to have a forwarding address prior to the move to the Cleveland area. I am wondering if this renting process can be done by mailing the required information and documents to the postmaster...?

I add minutes to my Virgin phone with an automated authoritization linked to a Paypal account. I guess getting an upgraded phone may not help but what do I know?
