Posted November 6, 200618 yr These photos were taken October 25-November 3, 2006. The sun hardly cooperated, so a few of them have a weird hue to them. For example, the bark on some trees appears blue. Mount Airy Forest Cincinnati's largest park. Colerain Twp, Hamilton County Heritage Park and the Great Miami River. The area is surrounded by woods and farmland. I swear I heard shotgun blasts the entire time I was there. Fire! The world's smallest beach. Lost and found. Back to Mount Airy Forest Colerain Twp, Hamilton County Dravo Park. Bridge piers in the Great Miami River. East Miami River Road. Back to Mount Airy Forest Deer. The park is severely overpopulated. I saw a dozen in about half an hour. They'll come right up to your car. College Hill Random street shots. Back to Mount Airy Forest.... Bye!

November 6, 200618 yr It takes a dam or a precipitation event to make the "Great" and "River" parts of "Great Miami River" truly applicable. I actually like the blue trees, I've never really gotten into fall colors all that much.
November 6, 200618 yr Beautiful color, and I'm envious of people who have nice,clean rivers; ours are slow and muddy. If you take a livestock trailer and a bucket of corn with you to the park, you might be able to save on your grocery bill if you don't set your standards too high. At a picnic with some relatives from another area I ate what I thought was the worst beef I'd ever tasted. Then I learned that it was venison. It was tough and had an unpleasant flavor. Ack!
