What can the people up north tell a guy down south about Seven Hills? I may end up there. Thanks

There aren't Seven Hills there anymore.

{ducks}

Seven Hills is a pretty sparcely populated suburb east of Parma and south of Cleveland. A fair amount of 50's and 60's subdivisions north of Rockside Rd....a bit pricer/newer and spread out south of Rockside. You won't break the bank there, but it would be cheaper to live in Parma or the city. There ain't a helluva lot to do in Seven Hills. It's not a bad commute if you're working d'town....I-77 is accessible from Pleasant Valley and Rockside. No crime, but may be the dullest place in the Cleveland Metro. Lots of woods and 'hills' but not like the ones in Cincy. The school district is part of Parma.

""Frankly, what we need are businesses, business development that creates jobs that has high income potential so that we'll have more customers for retail in the future," said Fingerhut."

What a novel thought. Too bad the politicians don't know this yet. Wait a sec....

Thanks for the info. The potential employer is located in Seven Hills. I take it, it's in an office park of some sort. Doing a quick search showed it's about 30 minutes from DT Cleveland, but I not familiar with what else it was near. I'll look into Parma. Thanks .

I can tell you that my ex-step grandmother lives there if that helps you.

If you're working in Seven Hills....I'm assuming it's one of the office parks off of Rockside by I-77. If that's the case and you're not looking for suburbia, you could even live in a place like Tremont and not have a bad commute at all via I-490/I-77. (MayDay could tell ya exactly) You could also look into Independence, although again...it's pricey compared to Parma.

The nice thing about Seven Hils, Independence is that it's cetrally located to jsut about everything being at the 480/77 interchange.  Hence the reason of all the office buildings etc.

I grew up near Seven Hills. It's OK. Really nothing to write home about. Housing stock is mostly 1950s-1970s.

If you're looking for a place with a little more character (urban or otherwise), let us know. We'll point you in the right direction.

Here is my tip if you are planning on moving to Seven Hills. ---- If this even would matter to you---. Most houses in Seven Hills are city sewage, but there are houses still on ceptic tanks. I was prepared to make an offer on a beautiful house in Seven Hills until I found out it was ceptic. If this matters to you, make sure you ask. The vast majority of houses in Cleveland and surrounding suburbs are not ceptic. In my experience, Seven Hills is the one suburb I make sure I check.

So this explains why all the kids at Parma Sr., Valley Forge and Normandy High Schools were weird.  :wtf:

^^Thanks, I learned something new tonight, I always spelled it septic.

You caught that also?

Let's cut the poster some slack....all those chemicals in the ceptic tank must be affecting his use of the spell check button!

^No...actually I just assumed he was correct, I'm glad you made me check.

Back on topic....7 Hills...

Doing a quick search showed it's about 30 minutes from DT Cleveland.

I guess maybe it takes 30 minutes, if you're really far away from 77 or the Jennings Freeway. But I've personally made it to the e. 9th street exit downtown from Pleasant Valley in 10 minutes. And no, I wasn't speeding. I think you'll do better than 30 minutes.

Interesting, right now I'm about 10 minutes from DT Cincy which I think is great. Others may not think that's a good thing.

30 minutes does seem to be way too long for that distance.

One fender-bender at the Central Interchange can easily make a rush-hour trip up I-77 take 30 minutes. Happened too many times to count, back when I lived on the East Side.

Sorry----- SEPTIC..... I had to look that up. I always thought it was spelled with a "c".
