November 6, 200618 yr London is such a token place to want to visit. London is expensive. When I worked for that back stabbing lying oil company I lived there for a lil over a year. London is expensive...I always felt like I was broke. Oh I was broke...Those depression induced shopping sprees at Harvey Nic's can do some major damage to your bank account, but atleast I was fashionable!
November 6, 200618 yr Yeah I think its the most expensive city (or one of the most expensive cities) in the world. Along with Tokyo. My grandparents live in Yokohama and save a lot of money even though my grandpa has to commute to Tokyo all the time for his clients, its pretty easy when you have the fastest trains in the world.
November 6, 200618 yr 1)New York City 2)Santiago de Compostela (Spain) 3)Seoul or Taipei 4)Damascus or Amman 5)Buenos Aires or Santiago

Yes, they are all expensive. As you can see NYC is No. 13, and Cleveland is 109. Puts "expensive" downtown cleveland housing in perspective, doesn't it? 2005 Resutls Rank City 1 Tokyo, Japan 2 Osaka, Japan 3 London, United Kingdom 4 Moscow, Russia 5 Seoul, South Korea 6 Geneva, Switzerland 7 Zurich, Switzerland 8 Copenhagen, Denmark 9 Hong Kong, Hong Kong 10 Oslo, Norway 11 Milan, Italy 12 Paris, France 13 New York City, United States 13 Dublin, Ireland 15 St. Petersburg, Russia 16 Vienna, Austria 17 Rome, Italy 18 Stockholm, Sweden 19 Beijing, China 20 Sydney, Australia 20 Helsinki, Finland 44 Los Angeles, United States 45 White Plains, United States 50 San Francisco, United States 52 Chicago, United States 57 Miami, United States 61 Honolulu, United States 70 Houston, United States 74 San Juan, Puerto Rico 78 Washington, D.C., United States 79 Boston, United States 80 Morristown, United States 82 Toronto, Canada 83 Atlanta, United States 87 Vancouver, Canada 94 Denver, United States 95 Mexico City, Mexico 98 Calgary, Canada 99 Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic 101 Detroit, United States 102 St. Louis, United States 103 Seattle, United States 107 Montreal, Canada 109 Cleveland, United States 111 Pittsburgh, United States 112 Portland (Ore.), United States 114 Panama City, Panama 115 Monterrey, Mexico 119 Winston-Salem, United States
November 6, 200618 yr 1) Anchorage 2) Sapporo 3) Stockholm 4) Santiago 5) Buenos Aires At least for this week
November 6, 200618 yr Cleveland's cost of living is lower than Detroit.....!?!?!!!??!? Ooooh I see... Detroits cost of living is more expensive because you have to rebuy everything in your house a few times a year after the break-ins. Interesting methodology.
November 6, 200618 yr 1) Anchorage 2) Sapporo 3) Stockholm 4) Santiago 5) Buenos Aires At least for this week I don't get the fascination with BA. I wasn't impressed.
November 6, 200618 yr I don't get the fascination with BA. I wasn't impressed. And that's not to mention some argentinians (not all) self-proclaimed superiority over the rest of Latin America.
November 6, 200618 yr I don't get the fascination with BA. I wasn't impressed. And that's not to mention some argentinians (not all) self-proclaimed superiority over the rest of Latin America. I thought the brazilians were worse! however, they are just so damn sexy...I really didn't mind.
November 6, 200618 yr Jesus, it's just a wish list. Hell I'll trade my Buenos Aires for Cape Town then.
November 6, 200618 yr These are in no particular order, but are numbered for organizational purposes...I think that Hong Kong is probably #1 overall for me!!! 1. San Francisco 2. Hong Kong 3. Paris 4. Rome 5. Rio de Janiero

Paris, France -last year on my way home from India I stopped over in Paris where I managed to spend more money in 48 hours there than I had in the entire month before that in Bangalore 3. NYC - $10 beers will kill you everytime 4. Las Vegas - staying awake 24 straight hours means 24 straight hours of blowing cash. 5. Montreal - not cheap and the weak dollar doesn't do you any favors.
November 7, 200618 yr International: 1. Prague 2. Stockholm 3. Munich 4. Buenos Aires 5. Queenstown, NZ North American: 1. Seattle 2 Montreal 3. Anchorage 4 Victoria, BC 5. Honolulu

November 7, 200618 yr ^ What is it about Havana that puts it on your top 5 list? 8SOG, Pittsburgh is so close to Cleveland! What's holding you back? It's well worth a visit :)
November 7, 200618 yr ^ What is it about Havana that puts it on your top 5 list? 8SOG, Pittsburgh is so close to Cleveland! What's holding you back? It's well worth a visit :) Havana seems like a beautiful place, but also, being in Havana or Pyongyang is like being in Oppositeland. I bet places like that open your eyes to a lot of things. Things you won't see in London or Tokyo (places that culturally, are extremely similar to America). That's why I want to go, anyway.
November 7, 200618 yr "1. Pittsburgh (This one's for real ... don't rain on my parade)" Honestly, other than sports rivalries I don't know anyone from Ohio who dislikes Pittsburgh. In fact, most people I know (myself included) appreciate the topography, the cultural institutions, etc. What I have noticed though is that quite a few Pittsburghers/Pennsylvanians have a bizarre dislike for anything Ohio, especially Cleveland. The few I've asked never gave any answer other than "I dunno - I just don't like it". :wtf: clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
November 7, 200618 yr London Berlin Havana Cairo Tokyo Thats a good one! its should be on my list as well! I've had friends "sneak" into the ..... actually...nevermind...

I can't ever say anything nice about the city of Pittsburgh without criticism. :[ Usually stems from football and certain people stealing a superbowl. David, your polling place called. Since its raining in Cincinnati, they said you could vote on Wednesday! :-D When they called you did they interrupt your klan/NRA meeting? Edit: Sorry, that was out of line. Even though I don't agree with a damn thing you ever say, I still love you Dan. :-)
November 7, 200618 yr Man, you get around! I wish I had time/money to travel  I just got married in June so I no longer have either :whip:

November 8, 200618 yr 5) London (everyone else is doing it) If I didn't have to work there, I wouldn't have gone to London. Madrid, Lisbon, Cannes, Valletta, Rome, Venice, Monaco & Milan are better to me. I like southern Europe.
November 20, 200618 yr Montreal Portland, OR London Amsterdam San Diego what's suppose to be great about Portland?
November 23, 200618 yr I think the geography, people, transit, and parks are all something that I would enjoy, Portland just looks like a great city with progressive planning techniques and environmental responsibility.
