No bones about it, Sue's a huge hit

Sue made her Cleveland debut Saturday, and she didn't disappoint. There she regally stood, a 42-foot-long, 13-foot-tall skeleton with prehistoric roots, causing a modern-day stir. Sue is a Tyrannosaurus rex that lived more than 65 million years ago. A full-size cast of her skeleton is the centerpiece of the exhibit "A T. rex Named Sue" that opened Saturday at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History in University Circle and runs through April 15. About 1,300 visitors came to see her the first day.

For information about the exhibit, call the museum at 216-231-4600 or visit its Web site at www.cmnh.org.

BTW, I drove up to ole C-land to visit family and took my son to see it on the day it debuted. It's huge. A nice addition to the museum even if it is temporary. Place was close to packed. Not bad considering there was pretty poor weather on that day.

You work in the airline industry and drove...ummm!  LOL  :|  The irony!

Yeah the museums here get packed.  I can only imagine what there attendance numbers would be if there were restaurants and things to occupy peoples time pre/post visiting a museum.

However, over the next few years with the interest in reinvesiting in those stately homes in Hough and the new residential developments...I hope some serious retail is included in the mix.

Flying standby on any Friday night/Sunday night....yeah right. Plus, my standy status is lower on domestic flights due to the fact of the airline I work for.

Ya know, I was going to comment on the neighborhood. I honsetly haven't been in the area in 5 years. We came up Chester to E. 105th. What a hodgepodge of residental housing, but the neighborhood itself is transforming quite nicely. It's just weird seeing a boarded up house next to a brand new mcmansion.
