Posted November 13, 200618 yr Local Episcopalians elect new bishop THE ASSOCIATED PRESS The Rev. Thomas Edward Breidenthal was elected Saturday as bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio, putting the diocese into the thick of a worldwide Anglican feud over how to interpret what the Bible says about sexuality. Breidenthal, 55, a dean of religious life at Princeton University, supports same-sex unions, an issue that has caused a rift in the church... The diocese serves nearly 30,000 Episcopalians in 40 counties across southern Ohio including the cities of Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Marietta, Athens, Zanesville and Portsmouth. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061112/NEWS01/611120357/-1/rss
