^Those are some aggressive seagulls.

Oh, wait. I just read the caption. Never mind.

^Those are some aggressive seagulls.

LOL...When Seagulls Attack...and man, they've got some powerful ordnance...

^^Seagulls.... one a plane?  (Or should I say plain?)

Seagull jokes aside, that is a really cool picture.

^ wow

Back in the day (1970’s - 1980’s) WMMS was one of the best, if not the best rock station in the United States. MMS Coffee Break concerts featured live impromptu performances such Bruce Springsteen, U2, and The James Gang. Springsteen’s Born to Run & Kid Leo signing off on Friday evenings was a Cleveland tradition.

30 to 40 something year old Clevelanders may remember this Lakeside Avenue mural.

The "Games" Gang?!  :-P

Kid Leo now does one of the Sirious Satilite Radio Stations (I think the Garage Rock station)

and if any of you get the chance, there was a book published, in 2002 (give or take a year) about WMMS entitled "Radio Daze" by Chris Olszewski.  Somehow a copy made its way down here to LSU, but I've only been able to skim through the book.

Sunset last week, near where I grew up.

The seagulls are gone...

I'm cheating a bit on this one (this is the submission for tomorrow).

St. Louis and East St. Louis (Not that anyone wants to see ESL) from the top of the arch.

(If only the windows were clean, and the haze was much less obvious.)

(And this would be so much cooler if both the reverfronts were developed, more like Cincy.)

I couldn't decide if this would be better presented vertically or horizontally. Weigh in if you want to.

Interesting shot. It's a bit disorienting at first, but I don't know that presenting it horizontally would change that.

Rob - your sunset is fantastic!  I love the undulations in the snow!

Hydrobond - how did you do that shot?  I remember the windows being just little slits, no way to do something like that...it's a great shot!

It's a pano stitched from 9 photos.  Six taken from the west facing side, 3 from the east facing side. Autostitch did most of the work, but I had to stitch the two sides together myself, which is why there is a visible line in the river. If I go back to STL again (not too likely) I will replicate this, hopefully with better results.

No commentary needed...

This is by my new house in Montoursville, PA.  I'm not sure how old that church is but sometimes on sundays I can hear the church bells.  This pic was taken before we broke ground in May...  In relation to this picture, my house would be behind you to the left on this road.  Too bad the ugly signs ruin the scenery.

Beautiful.

Thanks.. you'd think that living right next to an interstate would absolutley destroy a view and everything else but maybe when I get the chance I'll take a picture of the valley behind the house... its a gorgeous view. With the lights of nearby Williamsport, PA illuminating the sky and the sunset creating so many colors, I love it. Plus the lights from the highway at night is pretty sweet.

Please take some photos of Williamsport.  I'd be very interested!

Ha! I was actually at Grub for the first time last week! Interesting joint. It was a sunny day and I think it took my eyes a good half hour to adjust to the gloomy interior. I was half expecting a mafia family to walk in or something. I had a good BLT though.

ver been to the Grub Steak?

I have, but its been a while.

Dude - wow!  Fireworks party at ForeverGlow's place!

Yeah, I think you're the one millionth person to have said that. So I guess you should win something actually. That's the one day in the year that I'm the coolest guy in the city. But yeah, the view is pretty spectacular, it extends all the way across the river and into NKY. I have a huge panoramic I'm still stitching together.

Oh, with that view, you're the coolest person in the city pretty much 365 days a year!  That's fantastic, just fantastic...do you get up early and read the paper on your deck with coffee every day?  That's just lovely...

Why yes I do. My golden retriever, coffee, toast, newspaper, and a deep red housecoat--that’s pretty much the 5 things that would sum my life up.

Here's the view from my patio.

Seriously, you need to invite Colday & myself over to your place.  We would love to photograph the city from your patio.  That is a fantastic view.  Do you live in Park Hills?

I live right up around Devou Park. Is that considered Park Hills?
