January 24, 200718 yr ^We call that a "salad" in Ohio! This was just last Saturday, at Echo Park - quite a beautiful sky!
January 26, 200718 yr ^Those are some aggressive seagulls. Oh, wait. I just read the caption. Never mind.
January 26, 200718 yr ^Those are some aggressive seagulls. LOL...When Seagulls Attack...and man, they've got some powerful ordnance...
January 27, 200718 yr Back in the day (1970’s - 1980’s) WMMS was one of the best, if not the best rock station in the United States. MMS Coffee Break concerts featured live impromptu performances such Bruce Springsteen, U2, and The James Gang. Springsteen’s Born to Run & Kid Leo signing off on Friday evenings was a Cleveland tradition. 30 to 40 something year old Clevelanders may remember this Lakeside Avenue mural.
January 27, 200718 yr The "Games" Gang?! :-P  Kid Leo now does one of the Sirious Satilite Radio Stations (I think the Garage Rock station) and if any of you get the chance, there was a book published, in 2002 (give or take a year) about WMMS entitled "Radio Daze" by Chris Olszewski. Somehow a copy made its way down here to LSU, but I've only been able to skim through the book.
January 28, 200718 yr I'm cheating a bit on this one (this is the submission for tomorrow). St. Louis and East St. Louis (Not that anyone wants to see ESL) from the top of the arch. (If only the windows were clean, and the haze was much less obvious.) (And this would be so much cooler if both the reverfronts were developed, more like Cincy.) I couldn't decide if this would be better presented vertically or horizontally. Weigh in if you want to.
January 28, 200718 yr Interesting shot. It's a bit disorienting at first, but I don't know that presenting it horizontally would change that.
January 28, 200718 yr Rob - your sunset is fantastic! I love the undulations in the snow! Hydrobond - how did you do that shot? I remember the windows being just little slits, no way to do something like that...it's a great shot!
January 28, 200718 yr It's a pano stitched from 9 photos. Six taken from the west facing side, 3 from the east facing side. Autostitch did most of the work, but I had to stitch the two sides together myself, which is why there is a visible line in the river. If I go back to STL again (not too likely) I will replicate this, hopefully with better results.
February 4, 200718 yr From the age of fabulousness - America's first production front-wheel-drive automobile, the L-29 Cord. Photographed at the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Museum, Auburn, Indiana
February 6, 200718 yr This is by my new house in Montoursville, PA. I'm not sure how old that church is but sometimes on sundays I can hear the church bells. This pic was taken before we broke ground in May... In relation to this picture, my house would be behind you to the left on this road. Too bad the ugly signs ruin the scenery.
February 6, 200718 yr Beautiful. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
February 7, 200718 yr Thanks.. you'd think that living right next to an interstate would absolutley destroy a view and everything else but maybe when I get the chance I'll take a picture of the valley behind the house... its a gorgeous view. With the lights of nearby Williamsport, PA illuminating the sky and the sunset creating so many colors, I love it. Plus the lights from the highway at night is pretty sweet.
February 7, 200718 yr Please take some photos of Williamsport. I'd be very interested! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers

February 18, 200718 yr A few pics from Purdue in the snow. (We had 1.5 days off. It was supposedly the 5th time the university had ever declared a snow day. They were forced to by the county this time.) The rest: http://www.hydrobond.net/gallery/tours/purdue_snow/index.html
February 19, 200718 yr Picture of the recent Ice: Plus some very cold ducks: The rest: http://www.hydrobond.net/gallery/tours/cincinnati_ice_storm/index.html
March 2, 200718 yr Ever been to the Grub Steak? "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
March 2, 200718 yr Ha! I was actually at Grub for the first time last week! Interesting joint. It was a sunny day and I think it took my eyes a good half hour to adjust to the gloomy interior. I was half expecting a mafia family to walk in or something. I had a good BLT though.
March 13, 200718 yr Cinti Findlay Market after dark Well, ok, before light part of my photo chronicles of going to work and I'm cheating with two shots but since this thread has been kinda inactive for a while ...... http://home.fuse.net/christol/GTW/GTW001.html
March 15, 200718 yr Just a few pictures from my front porch as I headed off to work the other morning....
March 17, 200718 yr Great stuff, all of you! Nice little random slices of color and contrast! Thank you!
March 20, 200718 yr I'm cheating. I didn't take the following photo... But it was taken by one of my neighbors here in Louisiana.
March 20, 200718 yr ^ I knew it! The storm was created by aliens to conceal the landing of their ships!
March 22, 200718 yr Here's the view from my patio. Dude - wow! Fireworks party at ForeverGlow's place!
March 22, 200718 yr Yeah, I think you're the one millionth person to have said that. So I guess you should win something actually. That's the one day in the year that I'm the coolest guy in the city. But yeah, the view is pretty spectacular, it extends all the way across the river and into NKY. I have a huge panoramic I'm still stitching together.
March 22, 200718 yr Oh, with that view, you're the coolest person in the city pretty much 365 days a year! That's fantastic, just fantastic...do you get up early and read the paper on your deck with coffee every day? That's just lovely...
March 22, 200718 yr Why yes I do. My golden retriever, coffee, toast, newspaper, and a deep red housecoat--that’s pretty much the 5 things that would sum my life up.
March 23, 200718 yr A view of my neighborhood, Tremont - from downtown Cleveland. Seven of the 20+ Tremont churches are visible in this shot: clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
March 23, 200718 yr Here's the view from my patio. Seriously, you need to invite Colday & myself over to your place. We would love to photograph the city from your patio. That is a fantastic view. Do you live in Park Hills?
