Not Ohio and not new, but while I was cleaning up some earlier sloppy work I came across this one that I like. It's a state historic site near Lafayette, Indiana, taken near dusk in autumn.

I guess it won't matter when 225 faces its inevitable demolition.

Either way, I wouldn't be expecting a letter of complaint from the owners any time soon.

When I decided to post this, I knew you would be the first to respond.

^That is pretty awesome, I wish they all looked like that.

I think with the proper font for "UrbanOhio" that could be our new logo.

1. Fort Moultrie

full_3_70.jpg

The War of 1812 saw Fort Moultrie III armed with 12-, 18-, and 24-pounder smoothbare cannons on garrison carriages that were designed to fire through embrasures in the parapet walls. They were used primarily from 1809 to 1860.

2. Morris Island Lighthouse: The lighthouse is located 1600 feet offshore during high tide. During low tide, the lighthouse can be accessed by wading.

he first lighthouse constructed before the American independence under the authority of King George III, this now-stranded structure stands literally in the ocean, a victim of dredging and erosion.

Artic Ice...oh, man.

I was wondering how long it would take for somebody to notice that?

Can you guess if this is old or new??

It is new and you can tell from the copyright.  :-P

It's the new Community Arts Center and the Genetti Hotel in Downtown Williamsport.

If it was an old picture, it would show the Capitol Theatre and the Lycoming Hotel.

For some reason the red color of that building disturbs me...especially when viewed with the rest of the skyline.  It just throws things off.

totally disagreed

I have about ten photos of this skiyline, yet somehow this is the only one that shows up.  I tried to take a picture that included the merlion, but couldn't manage.  Across the Bay from here were about 80 cranes building an island resort.  Unfortunately the sun was behind it all day and I couldn't shoot that either.  In the middle of the shot, there is a white building, really tall, that from most angles looks to be completely flat.

your welcome... isn't there a jail or prison along the river?

^It looks like the four buildings in the foreground are a jail with the small windows.
