January 2, 200817 yr I was bored one night... iPods!!! seicer actually inspired this picture.. I remember he had some cool shots of old desks and stuff in some of the abandoned places he went into..
January 4, 200817 yr Cleveland on a hot & hazy summer day circa 1985. I don't have photoshop so what you see is what you get.
January 7, 200817 yr At a bar in Florence, Italy.. Pretty funny https://www.instagram.com/cle_and_beyond/https://www.instagram.com/jbkaufer/

January 12, 200817 yr A Caddy parked on the 3200 block of Euclid Ave. in Cincinnati: This Olds Ninety-Eight is bigger than the house it's parked in front of:
January 13, 200817 yr ^^ I love how the effect you used on that picture brought out the shine on the buildings.. That is such an awesome picture. This is the PA SR 405 Underpass under I-80 as the interstate crosses the Susquehanna River between the towns of Watsontown and Milton.
January 13, 200817 yr Anglin Falls, near Berea, Kentucky. 75 foot high waterfall, flow was quite well since we were drenched in rain all day yesterday. Spring time will be better! And since I can't get over this beautiful image of my sexy body
January 13, 200817 yr I love how the effect you used on that picture brought out the shine on the buildings.. That is such an awesome picture. Thanks. The shine is a natural effect from the sun setting on Lake Erie. I used a soft focus to combat the harsh lighting, the end result is a fog like setting.
January 13, 200817 yr Damn you people with nice cameras! Im BROKE. All the photoshop in the world won't improve the clarity of my photos. You look so...one with nature. It's as if one automatically gains spiritual enlightenment from sitting on that rock.
January 13, 200817 yr In Prague, almost 10 years ago now, my friend and I made a pilgrimage to see this building, "Fred and Ginger" designed by Frank Gehry. As it turned out, if you bought a beverage, you could take the elevator to the roof. That's where I took this pic. (my "official" pic of the day entry)
January 13, 200817 yr ... Anglin Falls, near Berea, Kentucky ... Beautiful shots. Kentucky has some of the best scenic places in this part of the country.
January 13, 200817 yr In Prague, almost 10 years ago now, my friend and I made a pilgrimage to see this building, "Fred and Ginger" designed by Frank Gehry. Here is Prague last month: http://www.pbase.com/cincyimages/prague
January 13, 200817 yr Here is Prague last month: http://www.pbase.com/cincyimages/prague I checked out the photo set on your site. Beautiful city, and absolutely gorgeous photos. I'd heard that Prague is one of the best historic cities in Europe, and the pictures bear it out.
January 13, 200817 yr Damn you people with nice cameras! Im BROKE. All the photoshop in the world won't improve the clarity of my photos. I hear you David but you can catch some decent photos with a cheap @ass camera. I found this guy eyeballing my condo just a few minutes ago during a sun shower with my $150 camera. However I do plan on replacing it this year as Urban Ohio has inspired me to get back into photography.
January 13, 200817 yr Your photo reminded me to mention something: Is it just me or do you guys think taking pictures with cars in it easily throws off the composition?? If you can include the whole car it's alright but I think it look terrible if you're shooting houses at an angle and you have a row of cars in front, one or two of which have portions cut out of the photo. I'm not refering to the angle used in this pic; I'm talking about the kind of angle that allows you to show, say, density in rowhouses. I guess it looks "disturbing" the same way human portraits look disturbing when the photo ends at the neck.
January 14, 200817 yr I'll agree. Cars, especially parked cars, make it difficult to shoot attractive streetscapes. Visually they're even more disruptive than utility poles and spider-web networks of power and phone lines.
January 14, 200817 yr I hate when cars block my shot. I was on 4th Street yesterday and I was trying to get a nice shot of Pigall's but some hooptie was in my way so I gave up.
January 14, 200817 yr I'm not disagreeing with you guys but I believe the subject of jmecklenborg's photos are the cars and not the streetscape.
January 14, 200817 yr Your photo reminded me to mention something: Is it just me or do you guys think taking pictures with cars in it easily throws off the composition?? Absolutely...that's one of my biggest issues when doing cityscape photography. Cars driving down the road, parked cars, etc all get in the way of good shots. There are the few occasions where a nice/well placed car can actually make a composition better. For example: http://www.pbase.com/unclerando/image/83047376 Then there are also the dreaded utility poles and/or street signage that gets in the way sometimes. http://www.pbase.com/unclerando/image/89681516
January 18, 200817 yr Damn you people with nice cameras! Im BROKE. All the photoshop in the world won't improve the clarity of my photos. However I do plan on replacing it this year as Urban Ohio has inspired me to get back into photography. That's incredibly good for a 150 dollar camera!

January 26, 200817 yr Read all about it :-) http://www.amazon.com/Opteka-45x-Wide-Angle-Minolta/dp/B000BY59ZQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1201352905&sr=1-1 I've been kicking around the idea of upgrading to a DSLR but I may just hang onto to the Z6 a little longer and see how she holds up. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
February 18, 200817 yr ^ And to contrast with that summer image, here's a fair depiction from today of how this winter has been in Madison. By the middle of February we've already set a new record for the season snowfall total. The slushy stuff in the foreground here had a fascinating look to it.
