November 20, 201212 yr The Hub Coffee House, located in the Legal Arts Building in downtown Youngstown, Ohio, once offered up sandwiches, soups and Folgers coffee to hundreds of lawyers, clients and residents for decades. It's last iteration, the Courthouse Hub Deli and Cafe, lasted only a few brief years before closing. Themes of America once boosted the interior, from iconic American flags draped over picture windows to "USA" placemats. It is largely symbolic of Youngstown's former prominence as a major domestic steelmaker, once home to Youngstown Sheet and Tube, that supplied thousands of workers with a decent wage, security and good American food and coffee.
November 20, 201212 yr From the archives. Horse lot not far from downtown Chicago http://goo.gl/maps/TYhdI Perhaps horses from one of the carriage-ride services? They look well-fed and well-enough cared for, but one horse looks as if it could use attention to chafing from buggy shafts, and the shaft and harness-rigging might need some maintenance to fix whatever is allowing it to chafe. They're beautiful, robust-looking horses.

November 29, 201212 yr ^I had never been in that church before, it's really beautiful. It's just a block from the World Trade Center (diagonally across the street from the back of the Woolworth building), and the oldest Catholic parish in New York (St. Paul's is on the next block down). Next time you go to Century 21 (two blocks down) you should stop in--lol. http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/

December 2, 201212 yr ^ Old Town area? Near the Sedgwick L stop? I seem to recall some carriage barns around there. That's it, you can see them from the train sometimes More tear down rebuilds. I think they were late 1800's wood homes in terrible shape. Despite that I'm a die hard preservationist, these new homes look gorgeous
