December 15, 200618 yr Cincinnati from some street. Camera: Fuji FinePix S5100 ISO: 100 Focal Length: 17mm Shutter: 1/122 sec Aperture: f 3.1 That's the turn around Sycamore St. coming from Uptown. IMO, one of the best skyline shots of the city.
December 15, 200618 yr This shot is soooo sick. You and Chris's new cameras bring out an mazing new array of color. I love all of the steeples poking out past the rest of the rooftops. A spiritual and visual purpose that still is evident today.
December 15, 200618 yr Cleveland's East 4th Street (Arcade and Federal Building in background): its amazing how short the street looks fron that angle.

December 15, 200618 yr I keep posting this one all over the place, but what the hey. (Fourth Street in Cincinnati, for those who don't recognize it.) FujiFilm FinePix S5100 1s, f/5.0, ISO 100
December 19, 200618 yr Are you really that much of a geek that you'd drive out of your way, just to see a particular view of the skyline? J/K  Yes, I am that geek. Inside, you know you are too. XP
December 19, 200618 yr "its amazing how short the street looks fron that angle." It's the telescoping effect from when I maxed out the zoom - like my shots up Euclid that made Fenn Tower look like it was at East 12th. I mean, look at how close the Federal Building looks from the Arcade. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
December 22, 200618 yr Here is another, from Perkins Beach, just taken after the last shot before the sun disappeared on the horizon^
December 28, 200618 yr I took this on my way to work during the only snowstorm we had this year so far. This was going down my super secret shortcut on Jennings Road. It still took me a half hour to get to work (normally 10 minutes), but at least I wasn't parked on Pearl, State or Broadview like thousands of others. You can see the UPS truck ahead - it was the only reason we were going as slow as we were.
December 28, 200618 yr Super secret you say... ;-) Great shot, I love how that angle shows a good glimpse of most of the taller buildings. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
December 28, 200618 yr Well, once Steelyard opens it won't be so secret, so I figured... might as well.
December 29, 200618 yr Actually one place I haven't taken a shot from is the Harvard-Denison Bridge - it looks like it would have a good vantage point. The only concern would be a place to pull off :| clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
January 4, 200718 yr Wow! That's a nice shot. The Terminal Tower looks surprisingly good without the top portion. Is that from tonight?
January 4, 200718 yr Thank you. This photo was taken on the night Santa came to Public Square around Thanksgiving.
January 4, 200718 yr does somebody want to explain what the heck that think is in the sky!? Is the day when that solar storm reached earth and created the Northern Lights? I thought htat was something that you could not see in Cleveland.
January 4, 200718 yr does somebody want to explain what the heck that think is in the sky!? Is the day when that solar storm reached earth and created the Northern Lights? I thought htat was something that you could not see in Cleveland. I noticed that too, and wondered if maybe it was a UFO, or the Star of Bethlehem. Or maybe the Star of Bethlehem was a UFO! :weird: It's probably a lens flare from the bright light in the lower part of the photo.

January 6, 200718 yr My contribution: Shot before daylight on Friday morning 01/05/2006 about 7a.m. from inside the Grand Wayne Center (convention center) in downtown Fort Wayne, looking south on Harrison Street. I was annoyed they hadn't yet taken down the holiday decorations, but after I saw the photo, I realized they contributed to the strangeness. Nikon D70 18-70mm Nikkor kit lens, at maximum wide angle ISO 200 Aperture Preferred, f/5.6
January 6, 200718 yr That's too damn cool, Rob. Thanks! Your picture prompted me to post my own version. I was riding in a rented minivan in Toronto in 1995, when I saw this view while stopped at a light. I took this photo through the minivan's window. Don't ask me f-stops and all that stuff. I just focused my Pentax K1000, set the exposure for the happy medium and pressed the button. The quality of the print has declined in recent years, as this was scanned from a blow-up I made of it and was in a frame that had been exposed to direct sunlight over the past decade. Most of the photo is visible but I couldn't scan it all given the size of the blow-up print. January 6, 200718 yr OK, here's a better photo. I took this on March 18, 2003 from my cousin's house on Sand Key, just south of Clearwater, Florida. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
January 6, 200718 yr One of my pictures from traveling in Europe while studying architecture in school. Man do I miss traveling over there https://www.instagram.com/cle_and_beyond/https://www.instagram.com/jbkaufer/
January 7, 200718 yr This was taken off of the US mainland in the Florida Keys. The sun is rising on Big Pine Key from the Atlantic Ocean side of the Florida Keys. The overseas highway is to the left, it divides the Atlantic Ocean with the Gulf of Mexico.
January 7, 200718 yr I couldn't resist this shot in San Fran a couple of years ago. https://www.instagram.com/cle_and_beyond/https://www.instagram.com/jbkaufer/
January 7, 200718 yr Took this one the same night I took the pic of Terminal Tower. I have a few of Public Square lit up as well. The whole set is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/muscatello/sets/72157594444649695/ My 9 yr old saw this perspective and said "Dad, this would be a cool shot."

January 16, 200718 yr This is not my picture, it was posted by Hayward in the "Winter! Post your pics here!" Thread. I thought it was worthy enough to be the photo of the day. I'm allowed to do this right? It gives the view one would see after failing an attempt at trying to climb the stairs. Don't head towards the light. Stick around longer.

January 21, 200718 yr Hydrobond, that's a wonderful thing to see first thing on a snowy morning! Beautiful pic. Scenic Scenic 1/18/07 Sign on the post says "COLD BEAR." I suppose they mean "COLD BEER" but maybe not?
January 22, 200718 yr Nice fireworks. Having taken a number of fireworks pictures over the years, I know how hard it is to get color in them without the washout. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
January 22, 200718 yr Nice fireworks. Having taken a number of fireworks pictures over the years, I know how hard it is to get color in them without the washout. Exposure time: 13 seconds ISO: 100 F-stop: F/9 Taken with the Rebel XTi with the kit lens. I did a quick and dirty photoshop on the bottom to darken the launch area. The vast majority of the picture is untouched.
January 22, 200718 yr From the Krohn Conservatory Butteryfly Show. (I wasn't even looking through the viewfinder when I took this one.)
