December 16, 200816 yr Three PNC Plaza under construction in Downtown Pittsburgh taken from Mt. Washington this morning around 7AM... it was cold
December 16, 200816 yr Here's one from my early days. I did this job with an old 5.0 megapixel Kodak, so forgive the pixelation - the lighting obviously isn't always ideal in these situations either.

My heart is wetting itself. It must take a special person to get excited about these types of photos.
December 17, 200816 yr Evergrey, you're an awesome photographer. You have some of the best Pittsburgh pics I've ever seen. I love how when you drive to Pittsburgh from Columbus, downtown just smacks you in the face out of nowhere once you're out of that tunnel. That is one picture-esq city. Nice pic Matt - that's a really interesting angle. Btw, where was it taken?

December 25, 200816 yr My current batch of photographs in Adobe Lightroom 2. Can you guess what this one is about? (And don't spoil this Ronny!)
December 30, 200816 yr Mmmmm! Cleveland from Edgewater Park at its lovliest time of year! Excellent photo, but it doesn't make me want to be there.
December 30, 200816 yr It was 16 degrees when I took that photo. Luckily Twist is a few blocks away and after two Christmas Ales, I didn't seem to feel or mind the cold. :drunk:

December 31, 200816 yr My first attempt at using the HDR software Photomatix. I then took the finished product from photomatix, brought it back into Aperture and created the final product. It's an update of an older photo I did when I first got Aperture in summer 07.
December 31, 200816 yr anybody willing to give me a free camera. I want to do photography but don't have a good camera to do it with. I only have a power shot. I also have no money. Anyone???????
December 31, 200816 yr anybody willing to give me a free camera. I want to do photography but don't have a good camera to do it with. I only have a power shot. I also have no money. Anyone??????? Well apparently you didn't ask Santa for a camera for christmas '08, so you have 357 days to get your requests in for christmas '09. LOL
December 31, 200816 yr J. Remy, check ebay. You'll find pretty good deals there. Here is another, but better, HDR attempt. This photo is the rear of the Old City Hall in Williamsport, PA.
January 4, 200916 yr I am going crazy with Photomatix Pro lol. Under Williamsport's new Market Street Bridge:
January 4, 200916 yr Very nicely done! It looks realistically like the way a person's eye would perceive it. I haven't yet played with Photomatix, but I probably should. A couple of friends who are very good photographers like it.
January 4, 200916 yr Thanks, Rob. Yeah, it's a fun program. That second photo was fun to take because it was my first time being by the river in the downtown area. I am hooked on HDR now, that's for sure haha.
January 9, 200916 yr Awesome picture, Hayward. Like Rob said, great composition. Isn't that the building that Trump's building replaced? Edit: Nevermind, I was thinking of the wrong Chicago Sun Times building haha.
January 13, 200916 yr anybody willing to give me a free camera. I want to do photography but don't have a good camera to do it with. I only have a power shot. I also have no money. Anyone??????? Just get Photoshop. You can take photos from regular point and shoot cameras and make them look amazing if you know what you're doing. Plus there are plenty of hacks out there if you can't afford the software.
January 18, 200916 yr I thought you kids would get a kick out of this. I was looking at movie times and as I was scrolling thru, this pop up on my screen. LOL
January 18, 200916 yr ^ha ha, that's hysterical! Ingrid who!??! http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/
January 18, 200916 yr ^ha ha, that's hysterical! Ingrid who!??! Ooh...thats right, I forgot the whippersnappers might not know who Ingrid Bergman or Cary Grant are!
January 18, 200916 yr I LOVE Cary Grant. I may be a whippersnapper, but I know my classics. ;-) I just started messing with my flickr account and I kind of forgot about this photo.
January 20, 200916 yr I thought you kids would get a kick out of this. I was looking at movie times and as I was scrolling thru, this pop up on my screen. LOL LOL Hitchcock films are great. They're so overly dramatic. That was the golden age of cinema. I've seen Vertigo 2 or 3 times. I think the Notorious BIG movie will flop.
January 29, 200916 yr I LOVE Cary Grant. I may be a whippersnapper, but I know my classics. ;-) I just started messing with my flickr account and I kind of forgot about this photo. That's a beautiful cornice at the top. If only they could continue to build those today.
February 4, 200916 yr You're a great photographer! Your pictures are awesome. Anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something!
February 4, 200916 yr I second David. I love all the photos you post. They always make me happy and they are always beautiful shots. That photo makes me long for spring and summer bliss.
February 6, 200916 yr Reminiscent of Dixie Terminal's interior in Cincinnati. Yes, with the huge arched window. My first visit to Cincinnati was around 1991, to see the Robert Mapplethorpe photography exhibit that everyone was making such a fuss about. Afterward, I walked around downtown for a while just looking at stuff. I walked into that building and through the window saw the Roebling Bridge (then called the Cincinnati-Covington Bridge, I think). I had just come back from visiting a friend in Manhattan, and a few days before, we had walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. It was like being smacked upside the head.
