Okay, I've been out here for nearly three months now and I'm just now getting around to posting a photo thread.  Not entirely due to laziness, as I've basically been without a computer this entire time for various reasons.  I must say though, that it's hardly a worthy representation of all the city has to offer (as can be seen in Chris's excellent photo threads of the Bay Area).  In all, these represent about 3 separate occasions where I actually took my camera out of my bag.  The ironic thing is that I am more of a fanatic of urbanism and vibrant streetlife than beautiful views and skylines, but, I tend to only break out the camera for the latter.  Anyway, hope you enjoy nonetheless.

That is all for now, hopefully more to come.

Man that is one beautifully set city.  Excellent shots, muchas gracias.

Excellent, another UrbanOhioer on the West Coast!  Nice set of photos :)

haha, nope.  I avoided the careening J Church for that one.  That was taken at the beginning of the walk about a month ago in which I ended up at the beach (Crissie Field) and then walked back to Market St., a total of 11 miles.  fun stuff, but although there are a few more pictures from that day, i didn't take nearly enough.

I know everyone talks about San Francisco having the best architecture ever but a lot of it is just too feminine looking for me. Also, the buildings have a lot of detail, which I guess you have to appreciate but it's just too much sometimes.

The natural landscape in SanFran is second to none (in the US).  I never can get enough photo threads of SF....keep 'em coming!!!!

^don't tell that to seattle!

You are pretty close to where I live...19th and Eureka.  How do you like the Mission?  There are some great restaurants, especially on Valencia.  My favorite is Ti Couz on 16th--Breton crepes.

Hope you like it here...and just so you know, today's weather is exceptionally cold for December.

Have you gone to Muir Woods and around the North Bay?

I really like the neighborhood Spike.  Tons of restaurants (both cheap and expensive), bars, etc.  I work in the East Bay, so it's great to be so close to bart.

I've heard great things about Ti Couz but haven't made it there yet.  Maybe I'll try this weekend.  There are so many things I'd still like to check out, but I doubt I'll get around to most of them before I go back to Cincinnati in a few weeks.  Have to finish up the degree, but I have a pretty good feeling I'll be back so I'm not too upset about missing things like Muir Woods and the like this time around.

oh, and yes, it's been freezing the last few days!

Beautiful pics.

I definitely have to make it out to SF someday!  I like!

In and around Union Square.  Yes, I suck at night shots.

Christmas in San Francisco is like Cinco de Mayo in East Liverpool.

Just doesn't work.
