Posted December 7, 200618 yr Okay folks, caipenar has been doing a lot of work on tweaking the Urban Ohio site. It would really help if we had an idea of what browser everyone is using. I'm presuming that everyone is using the most up-to-date version (Firefox 2.0, IE7, etc.) but if not please clarify which version you are using. This is for your benefit so please take a moment and let us know - help us help you :-) clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
December 7, 200618 yr I am using Firefox on Mac. Since it frequently craps out on pages with a lot of images or formatted text on this forum, I need to use Safari about 25% of the time.
December 7, 200618 yr I still use IE6, as I've had troubles using IE7. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
December 7, 200618 yr I use IE 7.0 at work, IE 6.0 at home on my PC, and Safari 1.0.2 on my wife's iBook...probably most of my time is spent on the iBook, but a good bit on the others as well...
December 7, 200618 yr IE 7. I haven't had any problems with it. I just upgraded myself. I haven't had problems, but I don't know where to find things that used to be on the conventional Windows bar (File, Edit, Tools, etc.). Does anyone know if these options are still available?
December 7, 200618 yr Just in the computer lab I use here at LSU I can end up bouncing between Firefox, IE 6, and IE 7.
December 9, 200618 yr I use IE 6, sometimes Firefox and sometimes Avant. It depends on what I'm trying to do. Avant: http://www.avantbrowser.com/
December 9, 200618 yr My earlier post: I use IE 7.0 at work, IE 6.0 at home on my PC, and Safari 1.0.2 on my wife's iBook...probably most of my time is spent on the iBook, but a good bit on the others as well... ...just upgraded to IE 7.0 at home today, so it's just IE 7.0 and Safari 1.0.2 for me...
December 15, 200618 yr I still use IE6, as I've had troubles using IE7. Lol IE. ;p Its bad enough the previous IE sucks, but its even worse installing IE7 is giving some people a lot of grief. I just stick with anything but IE. (Firefox, Opera, yaddayadda...)

December 20, 200618 yr Firefox. And I'm pretty sure that Firefox is the browser from Mozilla, so I don't think we need both Firefox and Mozilla in the poll field.
December 20, 200618 yr I use Safari, Firefox 2.0 & Camino on my Mac. (Mostly Safari, works great with .mac synchronization) I use Firefox 2.0 on my work Windows POS machine.
December 20, 200618 yr Firefox. And I'm pretty sure that Firefox is the browser from Mozilla, so I don't think we need both Firefox and Mozilla in the poll field. Yes Firefox is from Mozilla but there is a separate Mozilla browser. http://www.mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x/
December 21, 200618 yr I'm using the browser on my cell phone (at the moment). This is one of the few websites where everything actually works. Normally I use IE7 on Windows Vista. Update: Okay, so the spell checker didn't actualy work. :-(

February 9, 200718 yr can't you just look at the log file for the site and figure out who is using what? if not, there is a small script that can run and log this info. there are probably a number of guests that find the site from a search or otherwise and they won't comment here, or people using punlic computers, etc. http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp
February 13, 200718 yr "can't you just look at the log file for the site and figure out who is using what? if not, there is a small script that can run and log this info." 1. I'm 98% right brained (aka artsy) - "log files" and "scripts" are not my cup of tea. 2. I asked on behalf of the admins and a forumer who is working on a site redesign. Anyhoo, we have a good idea of what people are using, so this thread can be unstickied. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
August 2, 200717 yr I voted Firefox before but with the v3 (beta) release of Safari - I have pretty much switched to that. Safari doesn't work with some of the Hamilton County sites, tho.
August 28, 200717 yr Is there some setting / add on for firefox that will allow all the darn pictures to show up in picture threads?? I really hate using IE, it's like cutting yourself 1,000 times and jumping into a pool of disease.
August 28, 200717 yr Yup. IE Tab, works every time with no problems at all. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419
August 28, 200717 yr I am using Firefox on Mac. Since it frequently craps out on pages with a lot of images or formatted text on this forum, I need to use Safari about 25% of the time. Same here. What's up with the pages with photos going blank now and then with FFox?
August 28, 200717 yr Ok, I downloaded the IE tab add-on, but how do I get it to appear as an icon in my toolbar?
