I am an apple user. I love the computers and they do make good products. But this is just totally ridiculous. Sometimes I really wonder how stupid some people can be. Just wait, man. Oh yeah that's right, no one can wait for anything anymore.

I did, I waited for the iPhone 2.0.  It was worth the wait, best gadget I have ever owned.  It is right above my Nikon D300.

  • Apple introduced the Emergency SOS via Satellite feature with iPhone 14 in 2022, and with the release of iOS 18 last month, users of iPhone 14 and newer gained access to the new Messaging via Satellit

Haha wow.  So no major problems then?

Am I the only frugle cheap @sshole on here? You apple people are like a cult. Why anyone would pay so much for a d@mn phone is beyond me. Any 'extra features' can be used on your apple laptop and/or a cheaper phone.

Try buying a phone with a 16GB HD ... actually, try buying a phone that can access 16GB's. My main reasons: consolidate my iPod and phone ... main reasons behind upgrade: I need GPS and Exchange support ... end result: iPhone 3G.

Blizzam!

I am now running 2.0 unlocked and jailbroken. Sweet!

Hmm, I see you have a case of jealousy!

(Posted from my iPhone)

Ya got me.

I can't sit at the cool kids' lunch table :(

When you pass 30 years old one day, you will care less about being cool.  I don't buy a f'ing phone to be cool.  I bought it because my contract was up with Sprint and I wanted a phone that integrated with my Mac and provided the ability to check email and surf the net.

Speak for yourself sugar.

You mad?

Maybe it should also come with a sarcasm detector

Hell no I am not mad!

^ Are you with AT&T now?

Did you finally give up the Gaytana? lol

Seriously though, the iPhone is sick isn't it?

^ Are you with AT&T now?

Yes, I have moved from Sprint to AT&T.  Not sure what a Gaytana is, MyTwoSense can you translate?

That's why I got mine originally too.  But that turned out to be a joke.  What the hell kind of Apple product doesn't Bluetooth sync with Apple's iSync?  That lack of a feature makes cradling it every night a necessity...which wears out the battery incredibly fast.  Within 4 months my iPhone wouldn't stay charged for an entire day.  And through the monopolistic genius of Apple, you can't simply switch out the battery.  The recessed headphone jack and only allowing ringtones from iTunes were also both monopoly tactics that I didn't appreciate.  The glaring lack of Flash made a third of the websites on Safari useless.  The complete lack of customization (ie changing the new mail tone or setting up profiles) was frustrating.  And I HATE the fact that you have to go through Apple approval process via the App Store to put third party apps on it.  This phone could be a useful gadget, but Apple has it bundled up too tight.

Needless to say, I'm glad that I finally threw in the towel.  I was happier with my SonyEriccson Z525 and I'm happier now with my LG UX300.

Hey, what are people's thoughts on jailbreaking?  I'm a little undecided whether I should or not

If you have 2.0 there's really no reason to (App store). If you're running 1.0 then do it.

What are your favorite apps?

Mine:

– Flashlight

– Jirbo

– Showtimes

– AOL Radio

– The Chanel Haute Show

I like AOL Radio, last.fm (seriously check this out!), loopt, ipint, urbanspoon, livesports ...

I can't put down Pandora, Super Monkey Ball,  Tap Tap, Aurora Feint, and Aol im.

Wish they'd finally get copy and paste and a 2.1 upgrade since this crashes at least once a day

Jailbreaking 2.0 has a lot of benefits i.e. downloading apps for free (many of them have been cracked) or downloading roms like Sonic and Mario for free.  I really would like to do this  but am obviously concerned with bricking and vitiating the warranty

I've got the 2.0 installed on my 1gen iPhone (unlocked and jailbroken) and since using it ... I've never used Cydia (Installer) ... but that's just me.

Eparabola, if you like AOL IM, check out Palringo ... it's awesome!

I only try the free stuff.  lol

I got the iPhone ripoff Samsung Instinct last night.  It's not as good as the iPhone in web and apps, but I didn't have to switch carriers and it ended up costing me $60 after rebates and whatnot.  It looks like an iPhone and has a lot of the same features (visual vm, GPS, etc).  So far I'm pleased with it.

Aurora Fient: The Begining is probably the most remarkable iphone app.  It's ridicously addicting, has phenomenal music and graphics (though limited), and is somehow free when I would gladly pay $4.99.  I can't think of anything that comes close to it, at least compared to other paid apps.

My nephew, niece and I just downloaded this.  My nephew was like, OMG you gotta play this.  My niece played it until she fell asleep at 3 AM.  I didn't open it until this morning.  The beginning is sickening fabulous!

I wish there were more/better instructions as I don't know what f**k I'm doing!  The music is soooooooooooo loud.  I've only played this ONCE I'm addicted that you can go from holding your unit in protrait to landscape to play the game and that there are "games" inside the game.  I was so engrossed with my game, I totally missed my stop and stayed on the train until 34 Penn Station.

Now they have website and forum like UO:  www.aurorafeint.com

I have a new game to learn and concour for my trip overseas!  Look out now!

You guys should check out "Subway". Awesome game and it gets pretty challenging.

Anyone play the Blob game?  I'm thinking of buying it (I know an obvious better version is coming out for the Wii) but 8 bucks is still 8 bucks

"I have a new game [Aurora Feint] to learn and concour for my trip overseas! "

I took the Megabus to Chicago this weekend - it was just packed due to Lolapalooza - and played for so many hours  I really don't quite understand what's going on either - what the hell am I building blueprints for and what is the difference between Skulls and Hammers anyway- but who cares: it is easily the best thing on the iphone so far.

A slgiht disappointment is StarSmasher, which has nice 3d effects but is otherwise a pale pale imitation of the never-will-be-released-it-seems TouchFighter.  I'd recomend it for the graphics alone, but the controls are horrible.

I'm also going to buy Voy tonight.  It's gotten great reviews, is only 5 bucks, and has supposedly a great storyline.  I've never been into RPG stuff like Final Fantasy, but, hey, it still looks pretty cool.

I refuse to pay for a game!

I totally agree.  Have you gotten into the "tower" yet.  What the hell is a magic book or a scroll?

This game is great, but I need some instructions or to atleast know I've "won".  I'm not quite sure if i've ever won or if i'm really moving up to the next level.

I'm really not sure - I'm just addicted to the mining and then the cool skull, clock and hammer graphics that you can buy and use.  Eventually I might start actually learning what the hell I'm doing, what's the objective, and so on.

I love that hammer and the music is awesome!

Yeah I heard you are a frequent visitor of The Subway on Walnut Street.  I am sure the games you play there are pretty challenging!

LMAO!

LOL @ David being jealous.

Not jealous. Even if I could afford it, I would get a cheaper phone (I lose my phone or spill water on, ruining it every few months so there's no point in me ever getting an expensive phone. I don't know why you can't enjoy a little spoof youtube video  :?

I could stare at that all day.  I am so jealous.
