May 10, 200817 yr These pictures make me want to go to the SPCA right now and pick up a dog even though I'm not allowed to have one here. Cute pets Hohum. When I was little we had a beagle that looked really similar to yours. She was my best friend -- I miss her :( Galileo has that John Wayne 'take no sh!t from anybody' look haha.
May 12, 200817 yr A picture of my two boys - Durkin and Kody. I got Kody nearly 6 years ago from the Chicago APL and recently got Durkin in February.
May 12, 200817 yr Code - (Ko-Dee) I posted these on the "Urban Pic of the Day" thread last week after I searched forever for this thread and had no luck till today.
May 12, 200817 yr I absolutely love Retrievers. They are great to play with, but also know when to just take it easy.
May 12, 200817 yr Golden Retriever eh? Do you have a suburban home with 2.5 kids, sprinklers and a deluxe gas grill out back? Just playing Oakie :drunk:, nice dog :-D
May 17, 200817 yr Well since mother's day passed, we decided look around for a new kitten. We found this guy the other day, and my parents got him tonight. He is soo hyper and I couldn't get a good picture of him. He wouldn't sit still lol. Bad cell phone pic. I'll post more tomorrow. He's 12 weeks old, so he isn't tiny. But he is going to be a big boy since his paws are bigger than my old cat's full grown paws. He's a cutie.
May 17, 200817 yr that corn picture is awesome. now where is the pet? I can almost hear the voices from Ray Kinsella's farm! Here are my two girls.... Gypsy, named after the stripper Gypsy Rose Lee who danced with a huge feather. My Gypsy's fuzzy tail looks just like that feather, and she dances with it, too. She has more personality than most humans I know and is an absolute sweetheart: And here's my kitty, Arial. Her original name was Ursula, as in the witch from the Little Mermaid. But she's too nice for that. So I changed it to the name of the Little Mermaid, Ariel, but made the spelling "Arial" like the print font for simplicity's sake. But talk about a scare-di-cat! And I have to post a picture of this guy. He was my boy from 1988 to 2005 when he died of lymphoma. His name was Abe, and I still miss him very much. He followed me everywhere, cuddled with me and was the smartest animal I'd ever known. This is Abe when he was 14 years old, shortly before his health started taking a turn for the worst. The day I had to put him to sleep was one of the worst in my life, but the 17 years he was in my life were wonderful: "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
May 17, 200817 yr I've had two dogs that ran away. One was a big husky who somehow broke his large chain while he was outside. That b@stard! I always fed him on time and took him on several walks per day. I felt so betrayed :x

And then I saw his name was Abe! Great pic! RIP Abe.
May 18, 200817 yr Yep, my Abe came from Evansville, Indiana. My sister picked him up at pet store there while she was working nearby in a theatrical production of Young Abe Lincoln in the summers of 1987 and 1988. She couldn't keep Abe so I agreed to take him in. One of the best decisions I ever made. June 20, 200816 yr Here are my babies... This is Fred, he's a 17 year old redhead tabby. He has the best personality. I love this guy more than I love my husband.(And I've known him longer, too). This is Bailey, more commonly known as "Bailey Jasper!" because he's always climbing on my desk when I dont want him to be there. He is the biggest lovebug and the biggest scaredy cat This is Prinnie, well her name is Princess, but we just call her Prinnie. She is another lovebug, always rolling over for belly rubs. Now this is the best picture I currently have for Lil Miss. Her name was Angel before we adopted her, but that's just not her personality. She's brown/black shorthaired tabby and she is the Mistress of the house... hence "Lil Miss". She's loves pets and sitting on my chest, but at her time, not mine. She wasnt treated very nicely as a kitten, so she's just now learning that human touch isnt all bad... This is her, leaning on a doorjam saying, "No Mama.. go 'way!"

June 21, 200816 yr I don't know who's worse: my dog, the ham...or me, the proud mom... (isn't she adorable, though? her name's Luna but I call her Chica. She's Corgi/Black Lab) here she is pretending to be fierce Whatchoo talkin bout, Willis slightly distorted and red-hued one of me with her. that's an oil recycling kit in the background, if anyone wants it!
June 22, 200816 yr Is it bad that I only go to my moms house and put up with her manic episodes so I can hang out with the dogs? lol Hailey is the Border Collie, we got her at the pound when I was 17. Mini is a Miniature Pinscher from Petland. These dogs have so much personality but I guess any dog would after being around my mom.
June 24, 200816 yr Psycho Dog! She's cute! :-D Thanks :) For as much as she might try, she doesn't have a mean bone in her body (the hungry/scavenger bone, yeah she's got that - I swear every time we walk she manages to find something to eat!)! Hayward that's a great photo..her/his eyes look sooooo green! David, that's cute that they get along so well; MayDay and Smitten your kids are adorable, too (I have to stop here or else I'll be commenting on our kids all day long :) )
August 26, 200816 yr Ay question for all you pet owners (Actually cat owners specifically). So our family cat above is showing signs of arthritis and is vocally letting us know it hurts when going up and down stairs. The pain appears to diminish when she is outside for hours receiving "heat therapy" and she is much happier and more active the few days after this. But I figured we should probably do something about it. I recommended my parents give her glucosamine supplements but of course the pills are people sized and too hard for a cat to swallow. So anyone try this. Should they be smashed up and sprinkled in the food or can you dissolve them in the water. I know it works easily for dogs, but cats are finicky about stuff that doesn't taste all that good.

February 1, 200916 yr There's a new bullmastiff puppy in downtown Cleveland. Meet Sullivan. Sometimes he sleeps in his own pee... we've all been there.
February 3, 200916 yr I posted a pic of this guy back in May when we got him. But now, at about a year old he is MUCH bigger lol. Still cute though, and still a little terror lol.
February 3, 200916 yr Why haven't you posted pics of your house yet? It looks awesome inside. Did you get a bobcat or hybrid or did you just get a regular cat?

February 3, 200916 yr footsies?? :wtf: LMAO He lives in Prospect Hill - I'm not surprised he chose such a gay name I was thinking the same thing.
February 3, 200916 yr Any time I see a guy with a cat or certain kinds of dogs - (chihuahua, pug) I always suspect they're gay lol. Adams not gay though, we met his wife/girlfriend. These two gay guys lived upstairs from me in Clifton Heights. They were really cool - one was a really good artist so we'd critique each other's work when I was doing design studio. But they had the most obnoxious bratty little chihuahua that they dressed up as a princess and she always barked non stop and you could hear it downstairs. He asked me if I minded it and I did but I told him no; I said just consider it a trade off for having to deal with our lousy room mate Pete blocking your car in all the time.
February 3, 200916 yr There is nothing worse than a grown man with a fu-fu pet. That just grinds my gears!
February 3, 200916 yr Why haven't you posted pics of your house yet? It looks awesome inside. Did you get a bobcat or hybrid or did you just get a regular cat? I just redid the stairs. I'm almost done with them. When I redo the downstairs, hallway, and then the brick wall ... I'll post pics. I can't find anyone in OH that sells pixie-bobs! lol ... I did try finding breeders though. I'm serious about getting one. Thanks for the compliments! That pic was actually from the Shillito Lofts.

February 3, 200916 yr There is nothing worse than a grown man with a fu-fu pet. That just grinds my gears! Same here. I have an acquaintance that is a body builder with biceps as big as my head. Most days you can find him strolling down Lincoln Rd with his 2 pound Chihuahua named “Princess.”

December 13, 200915 yr I just came across these old pics of Mini-Me from back when he was just a puppy, 4 years ago. They were stored on an old computer. I wish they were better quality. You can still see how big his head was though! He had a friggin mellon!
December 13, 200915 yr Thanks :-) He used to be quite the chick magnet. I wish he would have stayed that size lol
December 13, 200915 yr Thanks :) He used to be quite the chick magnet. I wish he would have stayed that size lol dogs and baby are chick magnets. my cousin met his girlfriend while picking up my niece and nephew at school.
December 13, 200915 yr Great pictures everyone! Here is my cat Little Kid: She found us in the late spring of 1998. We were bringing in my aunt's boyfriend's boat, when she came out of the nearby woods. So, we took her to the boyfriend's house because he lived on a farm, and we thought she would make a good barn cat. Well, as it turned out, she didn't. (poor thing) So, my aunt took her to my great grandma's house. This was supposed to be temporary until a permanent home was found. My grandma never really liked pets. But, after a few weeks grandma decided she wanted to keep her. Grandma passed away in 2001, and I inherited the cat. I named her Little Kid because grandma just called her "cat!". Little Kid is one of the sweetest cats I've ever known, though she is easily startled by strangers. She also get's really po'ed when she sees another cat outside.
