Cincinnati: University of Cincinnati Bearcats Basketball Game from 12/23/06

Today I took the family to the UC-NC State game.  My daughter is a big UC fan and she had never been to a UC Basketball game.  Since I will be leaving for Germany in a week, I wanted to take her before my schedule got crazy.  The Bearcats are a hot/cold team.  When the fans get excited they are on fire but when the arena is quite they aren't playing their A game.  The first quarter was full of disappointing plays and less than exciting basketball but when the second half started, it seemed like we were watching a whole different team.

Parking was a pain because the parking garage underneath Potbellys was all of a sudden for pass holders only so we had to drive on the other side of the campus to park.  Overall no complaints, the game was awesome.  Go Cats!

Here are a few photos I took during an exciting game.

I'm in this picture!! In the black shirt and dress pants with the band.

^hehehehehh....NERD!!!! jk, I was just about 20 ft. from you (on your right).  Disapointing turnout, but somewhat expected.  I was upset to see that many of our good non-conference games were scheduled during the winter break.  What can you do, keep on fighting bearcats...I believe in you!!!!!

I like the cheerleaders.

Yeah my photos are more of the cheerleaders and dance team than the ballplayers themselves.  Guilty as charged ;)

I just got my Nikon 50mm 1.8D lens for Christmas so hopefully my indoor action shots will turn out better.

Too bad for the small turnout.  When I was at UC (98-02) the place was always sold out and the crowd was electrifying.

^yup we had a guy by the name of Kenyon Martin around that time frame...oh and other various All-Americans.  Studs on your team will tend to do that...don't worry the fans will be back in full force, just give it another year or so.
