December 25, 200618 yr Merry Christmas, everyone! As usual, I'm too disorganized to decorate. I went to the local Festival of Trees for my bright-shiny-things fix.

December 25, 200618 yr ooooh, purdy shiny things! Merry Christmas everyone! Good luck on the New Year! I'm allowed all the bright, shiny things I want, so long as they don't have sharp edges or points. :-o Looks like exurbkid made quite a haul!
December 26, 200618 yr I got a bunch of clothes, a couple planning books (Green Cities, Jane Jacobs: Urban Visionary), a couple giftcards, a new suit, a framed poster of Grand Central Station in NYC from 1930, and some other random stuff...all in all a good Christmas indeed!
December 26, 200618 yr My Christmas "presents" were a MacBookPro and a Canon 28-135 IS lens, both of which I purchased myself. I got a camera case for the Rebel, some new bags for the cornhole set, and some cold hard cash. :-)
December 26, 200618 yr Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad! Buon Natale! Froehliche Weinachten! Joyeux Noel! Mele Kalikimaka! <--- Hawaiian :) And Happy New Year, too!
December 26, 200618 yr I didn't ask for anything this year so my parents gave me the cash equivalent of what my sister got: a new digital camera. They tossed in a few extras though. A 2 gb memory card for my camera, a couple SAM's club sized packs of AA batteries (coldayman knows why) and a few gift certificates. I'm actually going to use the money from my parents for a new camera. However, it covers barely 1/3 of the cost of the camera I want. However, my friend had broken the manual settings butten on my current camera which is covered by insurance. If it gets replaced near to full value, then I should have enough. I'm also using my iTunes gift certificate with the new iPod I will be getting since my 1 year old video iPod is acting up, but is covered under warranty for replacement. Merry Christmas and happy holidays from my family to yours!
December 26, 200618 yr ColDay did you get that lens you wanted? Sigma right? Yes sir. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
December 26, 200618 yr I got a digital camera for Christmas, so now I can finally start posting photos to Urban Ohio! Is it sad that it had to be suggested to me that I could use it to take some photos of the family Christmas festivities? ("Oh yeah, I could use it for that too...")

December 27, 200618 yr I gave out artwork to my parents (several concert posters I designed for Baton Rouge events, mostly in December), a video game to the middle brother, and several Dune books to my youngest brother. In return I got two bags of candy and gift cards to Best Buy & Kohls. :|
December 27, 200618 yr Son #1 and Daughter #2 - nothing.... again. :x LOL, how old are they? Son = 16 Daughter = 14 Magyar: Good job on the Dune books. When I read the first one as a kid (it took me a year because of the arcane language) I was forever changed.
December 27, 200618 yr Nice photo Rob. Looks neat. And Opening Day Red's tickets is a great gift idea! Have to remember that one.
December 29, 200618 yr Great pic Rob; I like how they've stepped out of the box on the color of the lights, I would have thought to stick to white/clear in such a classic setting. I like your pic as well Hayward, I tried to take a similar one last night, but there is a difference between a crackling fireplace and an annoying episode of Everybody Loves Raymond. Plus, I couldn't pick up the lights and many of the ornamennts blend with the tree. Oh well. :/
