Posted January 1, 200718 yr A friend of mine just sent me this photo of the Downtown Columbus Lazarus store at Christmas. See if you can look for clues as to the year.... first clue: note the overhead wires for the trolley buses. I'm guessing the 1950's. All of it gone now, inlcuidng those great Christmas window displays. The Lazarus building now nearing completion of it's renovation into office space for the Ohio EPA and other agencies. Hoping some retail or restaurant space will appear on High Street.
January 2, 200718 yr I'm guessing it is in the 1960's beause of the facade, I think it went through a major renovation during the 50's and the fact that it is a color photogragh.
January 2, 200718 yr Here's a picture dated 1955 from the Ohio Historical society website. It looks like the same facade. http://www.ohiohistory.org/etcetera/exhibits/ohiopix/image.cfm?ID=3072
