Thx for sharing some Ytown pics...but I have never seen a more outrageous posting run-up display in my day!

I have a lot more photographs on the way. Check back occassionaly!

Some interesting shots, different views from what I usually see. I like the industrial grit stuff.

Excellent! I'd recommend you get a photobucket.com account, you just upload the images, copy the [XXX] [/XXX] (where XXX = IMG) tags and paste them here, this lets you do it in one post (and keeps the mods off your back ;) ).

Cedars!  Question for you -- Is that a Canon Camera?  I ask because they look like pictures that our camera takes in the winter.  I think it's the low light.

Yeah it is a Cannon. Thats a damn good guess! It's a Powershot S3is. (It's kinda big.)

**This next picture is from the south side. (Really bad part) I found this laying on the side of a road. (no joke) I didn't look inside but I might go back and check it out tomorrow if it's nice. I have a gift exchange coming up soon**

Two more... I have many more but I'm waiting for Inkaelin to explain why my photobucket is malfunctioning due to my stupidity.

Our Canon has a purple cast to the images.  I compared pictures with it with pictures of scanned negatives from my Yashica T4 point and shoot film camera.  I had the same images from the rim of Yosemite Valley.  The Fuji film had greens and oranges that just did not come out in the images from the Canon camera.  The sky was a broken cloud deck at around 6000 feet.  It was March, and there was not much light.

I remember Cedars and The Eight Balls and Ray-na-tera.  It was an old man bar with the "Ron Jaworski Polka" on the juke box by day, and a clone of the Akron crypt by night.

I'm bored so I'll post another picture, I'll try to make it good.

keep em comming

Two more.

^ Keep them coming. At 3:06 AM I guess it would be boring...

*Drools*

Abandonments. Everywhere.

What is Furnitureland? Is that still active? It seems as if another poster on a forum I frequent posted about that.

Nice photographs!

Wow very nice pictures of Youngstown man... You definitely have some far more interesting shots than most.. I usually just get the common shots of the city.

Here is a great LIVE webcam shot by WYTV 33 of the southern portion of downtown with the brand new Chevrolet Centre to the right:

Heck, I like them all, the first set too.  Deep Ohio.

The Jolly Bar.  Aint jolly no more.  I wonder if that was a polka place?

When I'm walking to class this week, I'll snag a few shots of campus. Thats a promise.

Deyor looks like it might have been an old Sears?

Or was it always a theatre.

It has always been a theater. It's called Powers auditorium and it was built by the Actual Warner Brothers who were originally from Youngstown. The inside is unreal. Recently, they expanded and included a high class diner and another stage that seats up to 600 I believe. It's the only theater like it in the state/country. (not sure) I think it has something to do with the acoustics. I have some pictures of the expansion on the first page. Anyone have any pictures taken inside?

Exterior looks art deco.  I'd like to see the inside.

Where is the building in llaw.jpg located? I can't seem to place it.

This is my house on the North side of Youngstown. I know its a little off center but I think it does the trick.

I'm not happy with my last post. Here is one I hope will do the trick.

...............This is just weird.

^ I think tacky is a better word. If it were gay it would be more tasteful.

Let me guess... You took this picture of the CSX tracks in or near Lowellville?

"In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck

Yes I did. That is amazing. Some of my friends and I went off-roading back there and I brought my camera along. Here is another one.

Good guess KGP, I had dinner with my partents at Carchedis in Lowellville during holidays. Lots of memories, my Great Grandfather and Grandfather were both Youngstown steelworkers. One at Brier Hill and the other at Sheet & Tube.

Lowellville is a place stuck in tme that hasn't moved on.
