MEDINA -- The opening day roster for the inaugural season of the Wayne County Rumble is nearly set.

Wayne County's expansion arena football team held its minicamp on Sunday at Pinnacle Sports in Medina.

There, coaches evaluated some 50-plus players who were hand-picked from four previous open tryouts in an attempt to finalize the team's 25-man opening day squad.

"It makes it tough on the coaches because there's so much talent, so much heart and so much effort out there, but we can only hold so many on the roster," said Rumble coach Moe Cooper. "You get into a situation where you're kind of butting heads. You have a couple guys who are good players, but some of them have to go. We want to make the right choices and try to bring a great team to Wooster."

^I heard that a bunch of Browns players had tried out but they didn't make the final cut.
