Wow, I better look into this and find a solution.  If anyone else is having a similar issue, please let me know!

I was having problems last week getting on in the morning. I would get a message saying that the site was down due to 'high server stress' or something to that effect. Happened intermittently, usually in the AM, for a few days.

 

Running ok today for me.

I'm still having some trouble getting on from Case's network in the mornings.  I can access the site from my cell phone, but not my wired connection to my computer.  I don't think it would be a network problem for Case, since I can access any other site I want, but I have no idea.

Around 11:30 this morning UO was very slow to refresh or load new pages. Finally I exited, thinking maybe getting out and then coming back in would help. It didn't I tried to get back in about 11:45, and the status bar at the bottom of the IE8 window slowly progressed to two bars and then froze. I watched it for about a minute and a half, and then gave up.

 

No other sites that I use were experiencing any difficulty.

I think I got the the server is too busy right now error around the same time today.

For those who are experiencing sluggish issues with the site starting at 9am est and 1pm or so, let me know how the site loads starting tomorrow during these hours.  The server was set up to process stat logs whenever it wanted and this slowed the server down dramatically during these hours.  I've since changed the server to process stats from 2am -7am from now on.

Hmm, maybe that'll help my access.  The site hasn't been loading from Case at all recently until this morning....

would this have anything to do with the fact that my

 

"show recent unread topics" and "show recent updated responses" (or whatever they were) links have disappeared from the top of my page?  the forum is a significantly greater pain in the rear to naviagate without those buttons.

What I did has nothing to do with the issue your having.  Look at the top of the forum by the time.  There should be a - icon.  Click that and that should expand what your looking for.
