Posted February 5, 200718 yr I'll ask this here first so that I don't have to sign up for a Whitesnake forum if it's not necessary -- does anyone know in which city this picture was taken? A buddy of mine has this in a 2'x3' poster. We think it may be Cincinnati (either east or west of Downtown, with the band standing on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River, and Cincinnati in the background), but we're not sure. Even on the poster it is a bit too blurry to tell. Anyone know?
February 5, 200718 yr Well if it is Cincinnati...it definitely isn't west of downtown. It would have to be on the eastern hills along the Ohio River. But I don't have a clue if it is Cincy or not.
February 5, 200718 yr Its probably somewhere in California. Man, the 80s were a terrible time for fashion.
February 5, 200718 yr I don't recognize the location...which, of course, doesn't mean a damn thing - I'd defer to ColDay and Grasscat and Monte on this - but I don't recognize it...
February 5, 200718 yr Man, the 80s were a terrible time for fashion. You probably don't even remember the 80s!
February 5, 200718 yr I don't recognize the backround as Cincy. This photo is in Eden Park by the reflecting pool
February 5, 200718 yr I like the way the band looks. Man, the 80s were a terrible time for fashion. I like the band's look!
February 5, 200718 yr Looks like the Los Angeles area to me. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
February 5, 200718 yr I can't believe I liked them in 7th grade. As for the pic, it's too blurry but I would guess California as well. That's where the whole hair scene came from.
February 5, 200718 yr Man, the 80s were a terrible time for fashion. You probably don't even remember the 80s! Thank God.
February 5, 200718 yr Its probably somewhere in California. Man, the 80s were a terrible time for fashion. Are you kidding! The 80s were hot. The early 90's, is a different story.
February 5, 200718 yr Man, the 80s were a terrible time for fashion. Depends on what aspect of fashion you are talking about. Some of it was quite chic. Ivy Rorshach @ The Jockey Club (Newport, KY)
February 5, 200718 yr Do remember that Whitesnake was an English band that featured well-established musicians from Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy and Rainbow, not just a bunch of 18-year-old hacks on the Sunset Strip.
February 5, 200718 yr ^Yeah but it's damn near impossible not to confuse them with Great White (like Bruce Nauman and Barnett Newman or Orson Wells and George Orwell)..I also remember as a kid I thought Janis Joplin must have been related to Scott Joplin (both musicians, after all), but then again I had a neighbor named Ryan who professed to be related to Nolan Ryan.
February 5, 200718 yr Do remember that Whitesnake was an English band that featured well-established musicians from Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy and Rainbow, not just a bunch of 18-year-old hacks on the Sunset Strip. So, logically, they would arrange to be photographed in Northern Kentucky.
February 6, 200718 yr ^thats what I've heard, and everything matches, from the landscaping, the walking path, and the cop's uniform.
