Posted February 9, 200718 yr This is an open request and has been posted on some other forums. Original thread is here. My other web-sites, American Byways and Bridges & Tunnels, are located now on 1&1 Hosting. I successfully transferred them from my old host, OCHosting, including modifying the DNS properties and etc. However, Abandoned is stuck with Sprintserve, a host I had several _years_ ago. I can't access the DNS properties or transfer my domain without their "authorization". Hell, I don't even have the username/password to do so! And my attempts to contact their support services via their online chat and IM service come up with nothing -- as soon as I even ask them to transfer it, the chat goes dead. It didn't used to be that way. Sprintserve once had a toll-free number. And great service. But now their phone number goes to a fax machine, and their address now lists a patch of forest land. I'm stuck here and I can't do much about it... So my point is: What is another great name for a site that relates to abandonments and is currently available? Names like, abandoned.com is taken by marketing companies which really sucks. Thanks!

February 9, 200718 yr Incorporate any of the following... alone, cast aside, cast away, cast off, deserted, discarded, dissipated, dropped, eliminated, empty, forgotten, forsaken, friendless, given up, jilted, left, left alone, left behind, neglected, outcast, passed up, pigeonholed, rejected, relinquished, shunned, side-tracked, sidelined, stranded, unoccupied, vacant, vacated Personally, I would try to incorporate outcast for what you're trying to do. I'm just glad I talked Marc out of using some regional description as our URL when he abandoned Xoom (and we started Roadfan)
