Over the weekend I was enticed by ColDayMan to go out with him and shoot some photos of Cincinnati.  I was hesitant because of the cold weather but with a little convincing on his part I couldn’t pass up the offer so at about 10PM and a temperature of 10 degrees, we hit the hills around the city capturing the beauty of Cincinnati on a cold Winter night.  At one point we were even pulled over by Cincinnati’s finest asking what we were doing.  After his suspicion cleared we went back to work.  During one of our explorations, we decided to pull into the Paul Brown Stadium surface lots for a close up on Carew and PNC Tower. – Yes I know, if only those parking garages were built with “The Banks” sitting atop…    It was during this time that I adjusted my camera’s settings for “vivid” capture to saturate the colors of the red lights shining on PNC Tower’s greek columns.  Unfortunately I forgot to set the color adjustment back so my skyline shots from Park Hills & Price Hill are very saturated.

Alas...

beautiful.  i love the glowing effect of the streets.  the first few pictures are simply amazing.

WOOOW!  Take out the skyscrapers (which look small anyways) in the first few pics and that could easilly be a European city.  That vantage point is defnitely not my favorite skyline view but the neighborhood shots are amazing.

My favorite skyline shot is the second to last one. very nice series.

Those are fantastic, man.  I really like the fifth one and the first skyline shot after PNC/Carew.  The steam from the buildings really shows up well.

Wow those are some serious shots! Love the smoke and steam in the photos.

Gorgeous!!! Simply Gorgeous.. I love these pictures.. especially the ones of the whole skyline with the stadium in the foreground-the colors are amazing.. That "mistake" of you leaving the saturation high really made these photos beautiful...

See, now aren't you glad you came?

Excellent shots.

Very nice!

Only a couple of my pictures turned out from that night...do you mind if I simply post them within this thread, instead of creating another whole thread with only about 5 or so pictures??

Thanks for the feedback and compliments.

Rando, feel free to post your photos, I don't mind.

beautiful.  i cant wait to move to cincy, never get bored with city views on top of the city hills.

Fantastic! Must have been painful at that temperature, but looks like it was worth it!

The cold temperature clears the air nicely.  Excellent winter photos!

Here are the pics that turned out for me...the skyline pics are not near the quality of monte's.  But I've gotta thank Jayson and Chris for the tips and the cool tour (showed me a couple different skyline shots I did not know of).

First off, a couple skyline shots (location of the run in with the cop):

Nice work.

Absolutely stunning stuff...wish I'd have been able to go and get some schooling from the masters!  Monte, those shots are just...hell, can't find another word - just stunning!  And Randy, that set of PNC shots are really nice...nicely done!

Cityscapes look AMAZING in ultra-cold temperatures.

next time you guys go out give me a heads up, I will bring booze, but no camera.
