The West Coast route will begin May 23 and will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, Breeze said in a news release. Fares will start from $119 one way if purchased by Jan. 29 for travel by Sept. 3, the low-cost airline said. The airline, which is known for its affordable fares, began serving the Akron-Canton Airport in June of 2021. Today, the airline offers 10 non-stop and four one-stop flights to seasonal and year-round destinations including Charleston, South Carolina; Las Vegas; Orlando; Los Angeles; and Raleigh, North Carolina. The operations base will bring more flights to the airport to better serve passengers. “We’re going to establish a new crew base here that will allow us to continue delivering our exceptional experiences to our guests and continue to invest in the area as we grow. I guess my dream of one strong centralized airport for Northeast Ohio is fading further and further into obscurity. CAK is now holding its own for low cost leisure market stuff and is hanging in there too with American and United.
