Full List of 100 Best Cities for Jobs

While local leaders bemoan the pace of economic growth, the Tri-State falls into the middle of the pack among major cities for employment opportunities, according to Forbes magazine. Forbes' "Best Cities for Jobs" listing ranked the Cincinnati-Middletown area at 56, up one place from its 2006 ranking, and ahead of most cities in the region.

Here is the Ohio list (previous year ranking):

56.  Cincinnati-Middletown (57)

61.  Akron (74)

65.  Columbus (54)

92.  Cleveland-Elyria-Mentor (94)

95.  Dayton (88)

96.  Toledo (97)

well......good news for cincy being the best in the state but its still sad that 56 is the highest ranking this state has.  I expected Cincy to be the highest, but Akron threw me off.

of course Raleigh is at the top
