If you hear people in Cincinnati start complaining about condo prices all you have to do is show them the following article:

Schnitzer Northwest plans Eastlake condos

Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle) - 11:36 AM PST Wednesday, February 21, 2007

Another Seattle condominium project has been announced: Schnitzer Northwest LLC said it will build the Equinox condos in the Eastlake neighborhood.

The 204-unit, eight-story condo project is planned for the intersection of Eastlake Avenue East and Fairview Avenue East, between Lake Union and Interstate 5 near East Galer Street.

Makes you happy that you live in Cincinnati, uh??

"It's become apparent that we've found a neighborhood with extremely high demand for new condominium homes," said Suzi Morris, investment manager for Schnitzer Northwest, in a statement.

Gee! Ya think!?

Cincinnati "where money is worth more!"

Cincinnati "where money is worth more!"

i'm doing some very early scouting, and if i look hard enough, i can get around 1,000 sq ft for mid to upper 100ks.....

god bless a cheap cost of living

One of my staff members asked me to write a recommendation letter for an apartment they are buying.

I nearly had a stroke, when she told me it was for a $845k, 700 sq ft apartment.

And with a view.  Is Cincinnati complaining about condo prices?

I hear people all the time complain.  That is one reason they give for moving to the burbs.......so they can get that 3k sq ft house for the price of a 1.5k sq ft house in the city.  What do people need with 3k sq ft??

they have three dogs and two cats because they can't say no to their kids

and one of the great environmental issues, smaller families living in exponentially larger homes on larger lots further from the core.

(ps i'm moving this to city discussion)

Nobody in Ohio should complain about the cost of a home, you get so much more for the dollar!

Who the hell would be a 700 Sq. Ft. apartment for damn near a million dollars??  This person must be a trust fund baby or have a silver spoon in their mouth and ass!

The prices above don't seem that far off from The Lofts at Fountain Square ... lol.
