  • I talked to a resident there ~2 weeks ago who is friends with some of the management, he said the building is 53% occupied and 86% leased, the difference being the number of new leases they've signed

No, your camera takes clearer pictures and we like detail.

Anyone else having a hard time fining the webcam link?

No...its very grainy and only updates every 30 seconds.

Besides, who needs it when you have (a) MayDay!  :wink:

The live web cam is addictive.  What, everytime I look at it, I think I going to see people moving in.

LOL...I'll settle for the names of retailers moving in!

Never mind.

It was a Firefox/Adblock issue.

I found it when I reopened it in m$ ie.

Those photos look like a Shell Gas Station Lego set from the 1980's going up.  Weird comment, yes, but awesome scene.

I can't find any photos of the Shell Gas and Car Wash Station on google, but the red/yellow/white in the construction photos made me think of it.

Legos=  Greatest toy ever invented

un pokito...

Close, but this thing was pretty elaborate.  It included a car wash with working bristles, a parking structure with elevation, and gas station.  Bad ass.

But anyways...

:cry:  it's so beautiful...  God help all of us if 515 or something of that 'height' has the go ahead :laugh:

Alright, it's official - we gotta crane! :-D

Let's see... 515 Euclid, some of the taller proposals from Stark, and how about a nice hotel for our Med Mart/Convention Center - all at once? :-D

We'll look like a mini-Dubai.

Legos=  Greatest toy ever invented

No kidding.

I'm all vaklempt! :cry:

those words are synonymous in my lexicon.

Legos=  Greatest toy ever invented

Offtopic disclaimer.

I disagree.  Lincoln Logs were the shiznit!  The town square and the village were not to be f*cked with as creating them took real talent!  The Lite-Brite, Tonka Trunk and Hot Wheels were right up there as well!

....continue on with the topic at hand!

"We'll look like a mini-Dubai."

I don't know about that, but I'd say it'd be cause for a boozefest celebration!

You live in your made-up middle-east world and I'll live in mine.

This thread has confused me, so we are going to make a Dubai out of Lego's?

Oh, and the crain is cool.

^ oh sure punch crain's is cool and all and i thank them for all that info, but right now we're digging the crane. just look what they did to you with that lego-ese!

I think you're forgetting some projects... Flats East Bank mid-/high-rises for office and residential, plus a Jacobs skyscraper.

^A Jacobs skyscraper???

^A Jacobs skyscraper???

From:

http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20070212/REG/70209013/0/REG

Developers with plans for downtown office towers in Cleveland include Richard E. Jacobs Group, which has a plan for a tower on Public Square; Robert L. Stark Enterprises Inc. of Woodmere Village, which has discussed a mixed-use project between Public Square and the Warehouse District; and Wolstein Group, which plans a $250 million, mixed-use project in the Flats. Retail and housing plans Wolstein Group and Stark Enterprises have laid out would get a big boost from the 500-plus people Eaton would bring to an office tower at their locations.

wait a sec isn't that tidbit about jacobs nothing new? he's always held that primo public square parcel out for a big tower or big project there. maybe he has a bite...or a nibble or two?

even tho it's an embarrassing hole in the middle of town, i do applaud him for not caving in and putting up just anything on it.

Well if they mean it when they say that he has "plans" for a tower, than that is news, unless I've missed something.  I don't think any "plans" have been advanced since Ameritrust fell through.

From the Eaton reference, maybe Jacobs is pitching the PS site to them

Everybody is pitching something to Eaton these days;

Jacob's, Wolstein, Stark

even tho it's an embarrassing hole in the middle of town, i do applaud him for not caving in and putting up just anything on it.

What, like a surface parking lot?

^that toll booth has to be at least what, 6 maybe 7 feet high?

I hear its visible from Elyria.

You and your fancy crane photos.

PUBLIC SQUARE?!  :-o  HOLY SH*T!  :-o

I was poking around last night, and I found this image.  It shows what is apparently a renovated and repurposed portion of the subsidized housing project at the SE corner of Superior and East 13th.  Redeveloping this with retail use would go along way towards making East 13th more than a traffic pass through.

ooooh, COMPANY!!!  My favorite!

And while you're there you can get some food and/or beverage at cafe, and some merchandise at store.

Store would never come here, maybe beachwood

But, has there been any developments near the "Avenue" district that can be pinpointed back to this development?

^come again?^

line one was a joke

line two was asking if there has been any micro spinoff from the Avenue construction, such as new for sale/for lease signs going up or coming down north on St. Clair, for instance.

I got the joke part- it was good.  I don't know about any spinoff.  Maybe the Reserve Sq. Market expansion could be considered to be pre-development spinoff.  I don't know.

You guys literally made me laugh out loud.

But, has there been any developments near the "Avenue" district that can be pinpointed back to this development?

I would think that it is way too early for any spin-off developments. The crane was just erected this week.

Yes, but the first phase of townhomes will be occupied this fall.  Not that we're talking a big addition to the area's customer base, but still, expanding the neighborhood beyond 12th & 13th.  Also, spinoff could be related to significant renovations at Reserve Square, higher occupancy rates (new mgmt) at Statler, proposed renovations to the tower at 13th & Chester, etc.
