In celebration of the first day where temps were high (we hit 70 degrees) and skies were blue:

This small alley is called Theresa Court - no idea who she was...

The Board of Education building's awesome light fixtures:

Okay, these pedestrians were actually flown in for the photos - I had to pay them each a dollar ;-)

Even under construction, there were a lot of people out on Euclid. Fyi - for those who are interested, Vivo was open for lunch (aka they've reopened after the kitchen fire):

Nice details on the Arcade's Euclid Avenue tower:

More pedestrians!

Fire escape, anyone?

cle031207_9.jpg

At one point the building with the fire escapes might have been considered tall...

The penthouse units of the Park Building in the foreground (right side) will have awesome views of Public Square:

I held the camera backward, and hoped I'd get a decent shot... not too shabby!

cle031207_26.jpg

Hope you enjoyed!

Great shots as usual MayDay.

Bah!  Seventy degrees and me couped up with a sinus infection!  Bah, again!

Pedestrians? In the Midwest? That's unpossible!

Awesome! The coming of spring is always a great feeling in Cleveland.

Yay pedestrians! And you didn't even have to use the zoom to make it seem like there were even more of them!

BTW, the sidewalks along East 9th Street (er, Rock & Roll Boulevard) ought to be widened. Sometimes you have to squeeze past the light/utility poles.

I can see the Oprah episode now:  "Everybody gets a cornice!  You get a cornice!  And you get a cornice!  And you get a cornice!"

:-D

Way to make me want to go back home...

Oh, and ColDay needs a convertible too! Not another foreign car.

Pedestrians? In the Midwest? That's unpossible!

was that episode on re-run today?

I'm reminded of a favorite Onion story...

Area Students Prepare Breasts For Increased Springtime Display

Female college students from across the northern U.S. celebrated the improved weather this week, preparing their breasts for the increased exposure and display that the warm weather now demands. For the last several months, the students' breasts have existed only in the imaginations and fond memories of others, obscured by baggy sweaters, bulky ski jackets, and shapeless flannel...

Yay for sunny, warm days! I got my bike out today, pumped up the tires and took a ride. I rode in the sun to a meeting downtown, and rode home in a downpour!

Who's gonna send this photo montage to Jennifer Hunter (at the Chicago Sun-Times)?

Great shots MayDay!

Is that actual work I see being done in the Bar One space on Superior?

^ Exactly what I was thinking... and so much for the debate if there are more pedestrians when it is 70 degrees vs. 30!!

Could have been worse. Could have happened the other way around!

No - really guys - those are all my co-workers, and I paid them to walk around like that!

Don't let Penton hear you say that!!  2cents.gif

There was a debate?

But seriously, action at Bar One?

Not that I'll ever go there.  I just have this theory that people put up signs for projects that never existed...just to keep things interesting!

It's like...New Haven with blacks!

Nice-  now thats a City!

Some of our friends in the photos need to visit the Metroparks soon!

I should join them too!

Where is Bar One? Is that the place seen to the right of the entrance to the Leader Building?

****Jerk Alert******

While I love the pictures...one bone of contention.  It is something that erks me.

St. Paddy's day, not St. Patty's day.  Patty is a girl, Paddy is a boy.

Please don't give me a two month time out, PLEASE.

If you get really mad think of how all of those firemen marching in the parade will fill you with civic pride.  :-D

P.S. Don't get me started on green beer!

*******Jerk alert has ended***********************

HEY!  was that a shot at us firemen!?!?!  :drunk:

You know what "erks" me?  When someone who's correcting someone else spell words incorrectly in their correction!  :-P

This one made me chuckle
