Posted March 22, 200718 yr O'Bryonville Not a city neighborhood, but a small business district on Madison Rd where the neighborhoods of Hyde Park, East Walnut Hills and Evanston all smash together. March 22, 200718 yr Hey, thanks for the Walnut Hills love! My first apartment when I moved to Cincinnati ten years ago was in O'Bryonville...I very much love that part of town... Thank you, as always! Grasscat thread = we all win!
March 22, 200718 yr Hey did anyone catch the address on the bldg second from the left??  And what was this comment about: Summit Commons, built by forumer The_Cincinnati_Kid. Is TCK a developer/builder of some sort...I had no idea!
March 22, 200718 yr Yeah, reminds me of 12800 York Road outside of Cleveland, in what, maybe Parma? Is TCK a developer/builder of some sort...I had no idea! ...someone needs to pay more attention!

March 22, 200718 yr I had no idea there was any new housing in Madisonville. Is it a mixed-income project similar to City West?

I appologize, but I am still unsure of what to think :wtf: TCK used to work for Corporex. Now he is doing his own projects (with some partners), including Summit Commons.
March 22, 200718 yr I use to work in the building third from the left, part of a company called DesignCrew. We moved to downtown Cincinnati, 4th and Elm, in early 2001. I miss O'Bryonville. There are/were great restaurants on the strip, especially a place called the Brickyard. Awesome pizza pie. Sigh.... thanks for the post!
March 23, 200718 yr Great pictures - thanks for a walk down memory lane as this is my old neighborhood too. We lived on Fairfax and used to go to O'Bryon's and the Brickyard a lot - that pizza was great.
March 23, 200718 yr Sweet stuff! Basement garages make me nervous. I know they're common in a lot of densely-developed places, but I think they're a fire hazard. Some cities prohibit parking cars in them when they're below grade level. Gasoline fumes are heavier than air. A leak can cause fumes to accumulate at floor level in a basement until they find an ignition source like a water-heater pilot light. I've read of cars, even late models, spontaneously catching fire too, even while parked and turned off. Seems an unnecessary risk to put one under the place where you'll be sleeping.
March 26, 200718 yr Thanks, everyone, for viewing my photos. Perhaps some day I'll actually have the time to look at all of yours! ForeverGlow... No, Sonoma Hill is a market-rate project. The lowest-priced one sold for $199,400 and the highest one was $265,000.
