Posted March 22, 200718 yr East High contains the city's largest and most spectacular older homes, although is less urban than Sprinfield's other main historic district along Fountain St. A large Catholic church on the border between the neighborhood and downtown Now an Orthodox church, this home is of tremendous proportions With Wittenburg University and five Lutheran congregations, Springfield is my kind of city! A Frank Lloyd Wrong Take your kids to Fariyland! :-o The area is bisected twice by newer developments, like Central Catholic, which probably took some great homes with it. :x I'm not sure how good Springfield's transit system is, but I sure did see a lot of use! Great old apartment building You'd think a funeral home could do a better job than this This home was a wreck a couple years ago, but has been pleasantly restored! :-o

April 1, 200718 yr I like that FLW home. What I don't like is that god-awful government housing tower. reminds me of the ones in Middletown.
April 1, 200718 yr ^The one near Verity is pretty similar. I have to say I like the tower outside of Smith Park, its a very cool retro structure.
