So most tourists when they visit the Hollywood neighborhood of LA strictly stick to Hollywood Blvd.  That's fine and good, but I met with some fellow SSP forumers and they showed me parts of Hollywood I didn't know existed!  Feast your eyes on Hollywood, North of the Blvd.

On the way to Hollywood I pass by a beauty in Beverly Hills.

Then, we happen upon a secluded neighborhood, Hightower.  The residents literally take an elevator up the tower pictured below to access their homes.  We took the tough route... the stairs.

Interesting landscape. Thanks for the pics!

Cool stuff. The homes on the hillsides reminds me a lot of San Fran and the stairs of Pittsburgh.

I spy a bit of "Nakatome Tower" peeking out....

^Nice eye KJP!

the Hills is to much for me.  I always get lost on those streets that just dead end to nowhere.  The people who do 100 MPH in reverse out of their hidden driveways are the worst.  I'm surprised there are not more accidents.

^The neighborhood I was in was pedestrian only, no streets :)

That residential is positively gothic. I feel like Phillip Marlowe, about to get the daylights beaten out of me.

^ funny i was thinking james ellroy myself.

a walk in the hollywood hills -- great work!

This one is my fav out of the bunch...thx for sharing!

Great shots. It's easy to see how someone would like living there if they were fabulously wealthy.

Beautiful

I'm not seeing any celebrities!!!!!!!!!

Awesome photos and awesome houses!  I wish I would have actually gotten out and seen the houses closer up last time I was there.

You really captured a lot of them well.
