Posted March 30, 200718 yr Hopefully someone from UrbanOhio will win. Think you have a clue about Cleveland? Friday, March 30, 2007 Sarah Crump Plain Dealer Reporter Ladies and gentlemen, start your imaginary tour-bus engines. It's time for the Cleveland Scavenger Hunt. Unlike the usual party game, where you have to go places to find items, you can do this hunt in your head. Moses Cleaveland would be proud. Your knowledge of city landmarks and history could win a meal for two at your favorite local restaurant. All you have to do is answer all 10 clues correctly. Easy? Yeah. Like scaling Terminal Tower. Stuck? Ask your friends, your children or thumb through a book. But don't call me. I won't give any hints. None. So help me, John D. Rockefeller. Keep in mind that all clues make reference to landmarks, personalities or occurrences found within Cleveland city limits. All landmarks are accessible by the public. Here are the rules: 1) Number answers 1 through 10 and send by e-mail or regular mail. E-mail [email protected]. Put "Cleveland Scavenger Hunt" in the subject line. Send by regular mail to Cleveland Scavenger Hunt, The Plain Dealer, 1801 Superior Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114. 2) Entries must arrive at The Plain Dealer by 4 p.m. Friday, April 6. No drop-offs will be accepted at Plain Dealer offices. We cannot confirm receipt of entries. 3) Three correct entrants will win a meal for two ($100 maximum) at the local restaurant of their choice. Winners will be announced Friday, April 20, in The Plain Dealer Arts & Life section and on www.cleveland.com. 4) If more than three correct entries are received, a random drawing will be held to select the three winners. 5) Answers must be complete to be correct. Some clues have two and three parts. 6) Please print or type your full name, address and daytime telephone number at the top of your entry for contact purposes. Only your name and city will be published if you win. Employees of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland.com and Advance Publications and their families are excluded from the contest. The hunt 1.
