Home at last: Cleveland State rallies to beat Kent State in first game at The Pipe Yard

LORAIN -- Cleveland State spent the first month-and-a-half of its baseball season on the road, compiling a 4-21 record.

 

Needless to say, the Vikings were pumped about finally getting a chance to play at their new home, The Pipe Yard at Campana Park.

 

Kent State quickly jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning, but CSU bounced back with an offensive flurry of its own...

LORAIN -- The city is selling advertising space to raise money for further upgrades at The Pipe Yard baseball stadium.

 

The Cleveland State University men's baseball team played its first home game at the park April 3.

 

Area businesses and civic groups can purchase a 4-foot by 8-foot sign, which will be displayed at the park, for $250 annually.

Wow the state of CSU athletics is sad.. No football team and the baseball team plays their home games in another county.. and the basketball team will never be consistent until there is campus life to attract recruits.

 

At least I can catch a softball game in between classes?  Or not..
