hang on to your tweed newsboy cap -- here we go with some london neighborhood stuff.  :wink2:

this first thread is a walk east along the south bank of the thames from london bridge station to the tower bridge, then over the bridge and back west to cannon street station. an amazing urban walk that spans centuries.

*** much "more london" to come ***

I love how London mixes new with old so well!  It makes the city more interesting in my opinion...I found this pic neato:

p1020109wf4.jpg

Assuming that little tree thingy wasn't photoshopped in by you, mrnyc,

that is a really brilliant installation- a sure way to make the built product look like the rendering.

p1020179zu9.jpg

There is way too much crapola like this in London.  Too bad about that whole WWII thing.

Awesome, mrnyc.  So cool to see shots of other cities beyond the cliche postcard views.  Very cool.

Fascinating photos! Thanks for posting them.

WOW.... I bet my dad would go nuts if he saw this...He was born there and hasnt been back since the late 60's...lol When i study abroad in college this city will NOT be overlooked.... great thread..cant wait for more!!!!!
