Of course this is entirely fictional, but my daydreams sometimes take me down this road. If you could, where would you move the following institutions/structures (feel free to add some)

Cleveland Clinic

Red Line

Cleveland Browns Stadium

Great Lakes Science Center

Rock & Roll HOF

The Avenue District

Stonebridge

Cleveland PlayHouse

The Port

Cleveland Clinic

Leave it where it is

Red Line

UNDER Euclid, accross the D/S bridge, UNDER Detroit to West Blvd, then on its normal route

Cleveland Browns Stadium

East 55 Street North Marginal

Great Lakes Science Center

The east bank of the flats near settlers landing

Rock & Roll HOF

Gateway

The Avenue District

Where CBS is currently

Stonebridge

Leave it where it is

Cleveland PlayHouse

Playhouse Square (either on Prospect/Huron or the Greyhound bus Station) this way E14 or E18 will be a walking district itself

The Port

Somewhere west, but not sure.

Cleveland Clinic - E55th - 65th, between cheser and Carnegie.

Red Line - all along detroit-Superior, untill reaching lakewood and e. cleveland, returning to its current path.

Browns Stadium - Just south of central inetrchange (I think it was originaly a proposed location)

Great lakes science center/rnrhof - univercity circle (i think all museums should be here)

Avenue district - fine where it is

Stonebrige - fine where it is

Playhouse square - fine, maybe a bit more down E14th

Port - where burke is now.

sherwin williams - somehere else than on the river

tower city amptheatre - on the parking lot behind tower city or just gone.

Cleveland Clinic - Cincinnati

Playhouse square - fine, maybe a bit more down E14th

Port - where burke is now.

smackem81, 3231 asked about the Cleveland Playhouse, not Playhouse Square.  Two different things, in case you didn't know.

Cleveland Clinic - Cincinnati

As if  :-P :-P

I would have moved the Browns stadium to the other side of the interbelt by Jacobs field, and extend gateway with a community rec center....

thats a thought!  a very good thought. IIRC, that was one of the original options.

Note:  I reread Smakem's first post and realized he also said that

Compact all of it into 3 square miles.  Say yes to hyper-density.

^^Sorry Smackem...didn't see your post

Punch, Its consensus, and thats not a bad thing at all.

I realize it says cleveland playhouse, and not playhouse square, just a brain fart. Maybe still it can be placed on E14th and prospect or euclid and e 17th.

Convocation center, move it so its within CSU campus, anywhere where all the flat lots are is ok.

East Side market, move it so its closer to university circle residental nodes.

Cleveland Clinic Leave it where it is

Red Line (Assuming ECP is finished) Move it to St Clair Ave and run it out to about E.152

Cleveland Browns Stadium Leave it where it is

Great Lakes Science Center Move to "Uptown"

Rock & Roll HOF Move to uptown near Case and Severance Hall and have a huge outdoor amphitheatre.

The Avenue District leave it

Stonebridge  Put on the Lake in a new 'hood around CBS.

Cleveland PlayHouse Bring it closer to Case and Severance Hall

Playhouse Square Leave it

The Port  put on the eastern edge of Burke.

Blossom Music Center - next to RnR HOF/west edge of Burke (build pedestrian bridges over Shoreway from Muni Lot) or built into hillside down to the river across from the Jake/Q.

Public Square - shuffle buildings so Tower City is on site of BP bldg or Key Tower, adjacent to convention center; alternatively excavate Public Square for underground convention center. connected to Tower City/Renaissance/Ritz, Key/Marriott, and BP/Arcade/Hyatt.

Waterfront Line - across river to Stonebridge/Nautica and back across north of Main Ave to serve Wolstein project, extend south from Muni Lot to Chinatown, CSU campus and Convo Center, then back to Tower City south of Carnegie.

Inner Belt bridge - demolish and build southern most alternative to gain extra space downtown (relocate Greek church brick by brick if necessary to appease 200 people in a metro area of millions)

Inner Belt trench - turn into tunnel, cover with greenspace/dorms for CSU/condos, whatever.  Eliminate unusable "greenspace" or "urban gardens" on sides of freeway.

Zoo/Rainforest - near University Circle and Cultural Gardens

Linndale - on I-71 just north of Cincinnati.
