January 30Jan 30 Normally I would agree and I do have the same feeling towards Uptown projects but the retail across the street near X's campus continues to sit mostly vacant. Glad it's getting a little bit of retail but demand probably isn't super high in this area imo.
January 31Jan 31 $48M Wasson Way apartment project gets Port financing A major apartment project set to be built in Norwood along the Wasson Way bike trail will get financing assistance from the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority. Uptown Rental Properties will build 205 residential units in two four-story buildings, along with first-floor retail space on the southeast corner of Montgomery Road and Lexington Avenue. The Port will assume formal ownership of the project and will lease it back on a long-term basis. The move allows the developers to purchase construction materials without paying sales taxes. Under state law, projects the Port has the title to do not pay such taxes. Construction began in March on the project at 3732 Montgomery Road, called Trailhouse. The project will include 205 residential units in two four-story buildings totaling more than 200,000 square feet. It also will include a retail space with frontage on Wasson Way, a bicycle and pedestrian trail.
