Why is that?

Great photos!

nice to see people around the cbd.

i like the afternoon light like that too, good time for pics.

yeah... SOME of the pics turned out really cool... but I had to throw away about half of my photos due to the difficult lighting... I had some potentially cool shots of downtown crowds, outdoor dining and streetscapes that I just had to scrap... oh well!

^ oh yeah i know -- its a big problem shooting in nyc much of the year too. between the buildings, the low, sharp angle of the light and the extreme light/dark contrast some shots end up waaay too dark. shame because i could see those were the ones where all the crowds were.

Nothing like a downtown Pittsburgh stroll (unless it's in the 90s of course  :wink:)  Looking good as usual.  I'm kind of bummed that the Novelties store is getting rehabbed.  Where will I buy my novelties when I visit?

Thanks for the walk Eg.

Very nice.  A bunch of new Pittsburgh pictures this past weekend . . .

What time of day did you take these??  I like seeing Pittsburgh pics...keep 'em coming!

Mini-NYC.

What are the population trends for Pittsburgh, and more specifically, the centralised portions of the city?

We'll find that out in 2010.

What are the population trends for Pittsburgh, and more specifically, the centralised portions of the city?

Not real good, I think that the reports were that Pittsburgh was one of the biggest losers.  Right up there with Detroit, Cleveland and New Orleans.

Pittsburgh city:

1990= 369,879

2000= 334,563

2005= 316,718

Pittsburgh MSA:

2000: 2,429,361

2001: 2,420,425

2002: 2,412,913

2003: 2,405,696

2004: 2,394,617

2005: 2,381,671

2006: 2,370,776
