Posted April 23, 200718 yr Went to San Francisco last week with all the other geographers in the universe. Naturally there are photos, although there's not much variety. I didn't really get much in the way of neighborhood pictures and even spent one three-mile walk without taking any photos at all. But whatever. It was a nice time! I'll start with this one as an overview, but the rest are just in chronological order. April 23, 200718 yr Excellent photos! You geographers need to have more conferences (no class for me!). I love SF: the traditional street grid over those hills, the odd collection of streetcars, the wharf, the Ferry Building, etc, etc!
April 23, 200718 yr darn you SF...why do you have to be sooo beautiful?!?!? Man, do I need to go to SF...maybe I'll get lucky and get a co-op job there.
April 24, 200718 yr Some really great pictures....actually some of the best I've seen of SF. Unfortunately, I can see my office bldg in some of them. The shots from the Hilton are terrific. It is beautiful here, but believe me living here isn't exactly a walk in the park especially when it's time to pay rent. Like anywhere, it's what you make of it. At least we are surrounded by beauty, and get plenty of excercise from the hills. Hope you enjoyed your stay. Glad you had such nice clear weather.
April 25, 200718 yr Wow, it was a clear day there! You can even see Oakland brightly! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
April 26, 200718 yr Excellent photos! This one is a classic: The old green and white building to the right has always been one of my favorites. I think it is a landmark building of some sort, but I can't remember the name of it.
